Can distance relationships work?

I'm curios to how people look at distance relationships.
Do you think it's harder to stay faithful?
If we say you meet someone on vacation(in a different country), do you think it's possible to make it work?

Only if it's a open relationship 3
Only if you have the same native language 0
If you met online, then no 2
If you knew eachother IRL before the relationship began, then yes 1
Doesn't matter how you met, distance wouln't work 10
Only if you live in the same country 1
Distance doesn't matter if you truly love eachother 26

With todays technology, real life relationships are overrated 4

    Distance relationships.

    Short distance works very well
    Long distance does not work

    In another country? I feel like it's possible but it would probably be very difficult.
    I don't think I personally would be able to do it. My boyfriend lives a half hour away and sometimes even that seems far :b
