Can a relationship work if one person wants to move to another country?

Let's say both people met at a university when they were studying abroad in Australia and they're both from the US but one person wants to stay there and is looking into getting a job there after graduating and want to live there for the rest of their life but their partner doesn't want to and plays to stay in the US.

They are both really in love with each other and have been together for three years in a healthy loving relationship but the one catch is this. Can it work?

    One would have to compromise and agree to stay in the country the other wants to live in

    Some might work it through, especially with todays technology. But me and my college girl friend separated years ago, it wasn't a break up, but we decided to call it quits, she was a transfer student and had to go back after the degree was completed, till today I love her deep inside and wish her all the best in life.

    No. My dream job is commercial diving. I'm working towards this goal as hard as i can. One of the realities of this job is extensive travel and frankly just being away from home alot. A typical work "week" (provided by reasearch) is 6 week stay at location followed by 1 week off. That's offshore. What I want to do.

    Inland well you go were needed. Septic tanks water towers whatever. Relationships dont generally last in this field. Something ive accepted. Something you need to as well.

    Dont even ask this person to not go to the job. They will resent you for it espevislly if they say yes. Try your best but be ready for heart break it will happen.

        Welding is a small part of the job man. And one of the main things learnt at the school I'm saving for. Welding minor part overall
