Can a person who is self-destructive get healthier ?

Can a self - destructive young adult (as in under 25 years of age )(such as a young adult who drives recklessly and fast and who smokes and smokes hubbly bubbly and has ALLOT of Tattoos and piercings (on the lips and eyebrows )and drinks get healthier and give up on smoking , get rid of tattoos and piercings and drives carefully as she /he matures (becomes over 25 )?

    Of course. I don't see why they would have to get rid of their tattoos or piercings though. Suppose those only matter if they want to get a certain type of job.

    Yes, you can change but if you take that as an excuse to continue being like that until you're on the verge of 25, it won't happen.
    Don't stress yourself out and just start cutting things off one by one. Same with the number of cigarettes you smoke each day. Abrupt actions to quit can cause you to relapse back, which you wouldn't want.

    If you feel you need to change, it is much easier to walk into it willingly than to have it thrust upon you. And we all change, some behaviors we just outgrow.
