I'm sure most guys would find that very challenging to deal with; I'm also sure that most women would understand why. So I'm sure this is not normal in the sense that it happens commonly in most sexual relationships.
But why the hell should that matter to you? You're not putting on a performance for an audience when you have sex, so it's not like you need to tune your performance in order to appeal to the most possible people and get the highest possible ticket sales. All that matters is that you're doing whatever gives both you and her what you need.
The only way you're going to able to know what's going on in her head when she says the other guy's name is if she tells you. If you're really curious, then maybe you should talk to her about this when you're both in a calm, positive frame of mind and in a non-sexual context.
The only way you'll be understand why you find this arousing is by doing some serious thinking about what's going on in your head at the time. Maybe it's as simple as you thinking deep down that while she may be thinking of Chad, you're the one who's actually fucking her, so you win.
But it may be much more complicated than that.
I recall reading about a study by researchers who were investigating the cuckold phenomenon which found that men who either knew or believed that their sexual partner had recently had sex with another man had ejaculations that were larger and contained a higher number of sperm than the norm. In our culture, monogamy is the norm and most people believe that's always been the case in all human societies, but there's good evidence that our distant ancestors didn't organise their relationships that way, and it was the norm for women to have more than one sexual partner. I strongly believe that, way down in our brains, the neural wiring for dealing with that still exists, even though our cultural conditioning has been plastered over it.
As a matter of fact, there's evidence at the end of your penis that our female ancestors routinely had sex with more than one male. The human penis is unique in having a glans with a ridge around the base. Experiments have found that this shape is much better at removing semen from a vagina than the smooth, pointed penis of our primate relatives. So it seems clear that the reason you and I have dicks that look like they do is because our male ancestors were the ones who were best equipped to remove the semen that other guys had left in females and replace it with their own.
