Burning/watering eyes

Hi everyone...For the last couple of months, I have been experiencing burning and watery eyes, but normally it happens when I'm in conversation with someone who is looking directly into my eyes. Also it never happens when being outside, but indoors. I have, in the last couple of years had eye injuries, and am over 50 and wonder if that has anything to do with the random burning or if it really is psychological, or a combination of both!? I'm going crazy! I want to have a meaningful, if not normal conversation, and there i go again, having those symptoms. What can i do or tell myself to overcome this? Heeeeeeellllpppp!
