Bug murder: are you guilty?

I HATE flies, bcuz u know they're feces everywhere, and then they come and land on your food!! despicable creatures!! I usually about living creaturebut flies are just horrid.

I try to make it as quick as possible and I feel bad if I didn't kill them in the first swat. As a kid, I would save grasshoppers and dragonflies from my swimming pool. If they looked only freshly drowned, I'd put them on the deck, on their back, and press their tiny thorax gently, as if to give them CPR. They would sometimes reanimate, but I doubt it was from my "CPR" and more probably I had frightened them into action.

magnifying glass and various chemicals to kill them - especially flies. flies don't like perfume or spray deodorant :) and sometimes a burial at the toilet if they won't die easily

Except, I'll probably throw it down their then have a piss on it. Then flush ;) haha i try to be nice sometimes, I only do that with the really big ass spiders which look freaky.

I sucked one up with a hoover today. It all happened so fast... :(

I have smacked flies and spiders most other bugs i have just stomped on becourse i didnt see them...

Make it swim in the toilet and take off body parts

it's funny because i will kill flies and not feel a thing, but when i accidentally step on a roley poley, :(

I literally put a fly in the toilet then took a sh** on it.

I used to do this kind of thing when I was younger... but looking at that list now quite frankly made me cringe.

I never kill bugs, if I find them in my house I take them outside.

i used to put a bunch of different bugs in a little bug Colosseum and have bug battle royals

instead of burning them with a magnifying glass i just use my lighter. and instead of doing that to snails or slugs i do it to leeches.

I took a knife and would cut them in million pieces. I think that's the worse thing I've done to bugs.

Just spraying cockroaches with enough bug spray for it to swim in.

I am definitely guilty of the snail/slug thing. I pour a circle of salt around them and watch as they get confused and try to 'run' over it. Then a smile creeps across my face as they slowly stop and dissolve.

I'm sorry but I have a phobia for those types of creepy crawlies...

I used a syringe and filled a snail with glue and watched it dry out.

No, I'm not a bug murder, as I was taught compassion. I hate slugs and would like to salt them, but I just quickly move on without hurting them. I believe in Karma.

salt doesn't make snails dissolve away i've tried it
it didn't work it just slows them down and then kills them is all it does

i put fire-crackers down bee holes and lite them
sometimes i get stung on the neck and arms.

and i poor bleach soap & ammonia down mole hills
make a hole in the hill and poor it in to run
them off and hold your noise so you don't breath
it in.

and i let wolf-spiders fight with house-spiders
in a jar the wolf-spider always wins.

and i have put roaches in the microwave when we use to have roaches but we don't anymore.

i put worms in light sockets and turn it on
it stinks like hell tho.

Just last night I saw a moth got my mom's slipper and said, "DIE!" Then, I slammed the slipper on it.

Instead of putting bugs in the toilet, I put them in my pool... 'cause it's bigger! :D

No, because unlike every human on the earth I don't have a complete disregard for life and think that anyone who kills insects on purpose should be killed themselves.

Interesting topic really, but I think the poll choices are quite useless. :\ I thought it'd have black & white choices such as "yes or no", there's just too much specification. Again, still interesting though.

I don't kill bugs anymore apart from enormous spiders and mosquitoes. When I was a kid I used to catch bluebottle flies and pull their wings and legs off. Horrific really. Nowadays I just brush bugs away.

Actually maybe a year ago I sprayed hairspray on a wasp. It was in the bathroom and I was in the bath. It was too retarded to actually fly out of the window and naturally I didn't really want to help it incase it stung me. As I sprayed hairspray on it, it's wings gradually froze up and the buzz went from high pitched to as low as a bumble bees and then finally it fell out the window. I didn't feel guilty about that one.

I once tried to teach non-aquatic bugs to swim when I was young, it was very unsuccessful. I can't think of a time when I've deliberately harmed a bug or other animal, this makes me feel rather happy :)

Books I rarely use- and only for bugs that are in my room. I slam the books on them >_<

I trap flies in between my window and the screen so they can breathe but they cant eat. So they just starve to death.

Why is there no "no I'm not evil" option?

I like bugs and insects. The only ones I despise and kill are the ones that want blood. Espesially skeeters! They make me sick

Except making them fight to do that... Tell me a technique i would like to try this one....

I find harming any creature to be absolutely horrible! Their life has the same amount of value as your own. What somebody decided to squish you, just because they could? It's so wrong.
