Brain feels heavy, slow for up to 1 to 2 weeks after smoking marijuana

I use to smoke regularly for about a year,I would smoke everyday.I have cut down now but still would consider myself quiet a regular smoker (once a week 1g or less usually). But what I have noticed when I smoke is that the next day my brain feels cloudy, foggy im not as sharp would mix up words it would feel like theres a weight on my brain or something like it blocking it (if that makes sence)and then out of no where it would go and I immeditly notice it im sharper, wittier more observent just more with it if that makes sence. Some times it wears off in a week some times more its very strange and it bugs me and this happens immediately again next time I smoke no matter the amount.None of my friends seem to get it or understand it.Any answers or similar experiences or ways to snap out of it quicker or at all any reasons why it happens, brings it on(obviously the weed) etc?I really feel better when this thing wears off but with out sounding like a little fool I would prefer not to quit smoking entirely.
Thanks

Sounds pretty normal to me. Any drug, especially one that is not standardized and regulated such as weed most of the time, can affect people differently.

My roommate's boyfriend swears weed keeps him calmer than any prescription drug and the kid self medicates. Different strains for different problems. Anyway, he's in our room nearly every night, and I can totally tell when he's ON weed, and when he hasn't had any for a day. He's a lot mellower on weed, but if he skips a day he's s...l...o...w that night.

One of the reasons I've never wanted to try weed is that everyone I've ever know to try it suffers downs, despite saying they don't. I just don't know how you go from having a lot (daily) to having it only periodically. Could you try switching to edibles (like one square of chocolate) before bed, if it's a relaxation for you?

Chocolate? I don't think so, it contains a substance similar to caffeine so not suitable anywhere near bedtime if you want to sleep.

I point out that nearly everyone I know who's doesn't smoke dope suffers downs at least occasionally: that's being human and nothing to do with cannabis

Sure, everyone experiences emotional and even physiological downs (like after a high-starch/sugar meal), but that doesn't invalidate people's observations of themselves and others coming down hard off weed. Maybe some don't, but a lot do.

As for caffeine before bed, I'd normally agree, except from my own experience a cup of hot green and ginger tea before bed every night really relaxes me, despite caffeine in green tea. And I make it strong... And there are medicinal shops all over Seattle and parts of Cal that sell pre-bed cannabis infused chocolates, and they tend to be among the best selling edibles because they work really well for a lot of people who suffer from insomnia.

They sound like fun! Cannabis is still illegal here although medicinal cannabis oil is about to be trialled, I think mainly for children with epilepsy.

I'm 1000000000% in favour if it being decriminalised but not legalised because I don't want the government controlling and taxing it.

That does not sound normal at all. I bet weed is not the only drug you use recreationally.

Gotcha brah! Seriously, though, if you find you crash after weed, maybe it's not for you? I can't have a single cup of coffee without suffering the worst migraines for 2-3 days after, even though I can drink concentrated tea. Everyone else thinks I'm making it up, but drugs affect people differently.

You'd make a great, um, cannabis shop owner/worker (In Seattle they make BANK!) 'cause you could be trusted around the product.
