How would you handle this situation...

Your daughter comes home from school and tells you how her day went. She then proceeds to tell a joke she told some boy at school,
Daughter: boys go to jupiter to get stupider
Boy: girls go to venus to get penis
Daughter: oh yeah, well boys go to uranus because youre gay!

How would you handle hearing this information?

        If she correctly explained the joke, then she is aware of something that she is going to learn about eventually. The joke indicates that her understanding of the issue is juvenile, but she is 5 so that it normal. I would not give it another thought at that point.

    I think I'd make as little of it as possible. If she thinks you think it's a big deal, then she will think about it and remember it.
    Right now, it's just a stupid, unmemorable joke.

    If your daughter's 5 I'd worry, if she's 15 I wouldn't. Did you not for a moment think of providing her age in the question?

    I would teach them that it can be pronounced two different ways. And then go look up facts about the planet.
