Boyfriend's only flaw makes me wanna puke.

I have a boyfriend who I love whole heartedly and he is a perfect match for me. I know we are "soul mates" I guess you'd say, and lemme tell you he is gosh darn sexy! But..,

He eats in the most annoying, disgusting way that it makes me wanna slap him or puke or punch baby horses...and I love baby horses.

Is this normal? How can I spend the rest of my life with him AND eat in peace?

Once of my ex-girlfriends used to eat her food like a cow graising on grass.... to best put that picture and sound in your head.

I subbly put my hand to her chin when she ate and occationally she would chew with her mouth closed.

However it got me so grosed out about it I came out and asked her to try chewing with her mouth closed. There was no way i could get away with it in my family growing up, i had no idea how she got away with it untill i met her mother.

So i asked her, we loved each other and she eventually mentally got around to stopping. If youlove him and her loved you, he will try to fix this 1 and only habit that is making you mentally nautious.

Is he Taiwanese? I used to know a Taiwanese guy who used to eat loudly because it's part of his culture and it means that you are enjoying the meal. Ask him nicely if he could stop, he should stop if he loves you enough, just remind him everytime he does. :)

  • Ditch him. Seriously. By now you have told him what he needs to do and not do. A three year old can learn to eat properly. So he just doesn't respect you, nor himself.

Most people find people he eat like pigs disgusting. It is like not being toilet trained.

    Dump him.

  • She calls him her soul mate and you think she's gonna dump him cause he doesn't eat properly? Wow, good luck to you finding someone perfect.

Teach him to eat properly, or don't watch him eat.

I don't see how that would help. Like, any. Plus there's no way for someone's tongue to go numb without them noticing.

Put faeces in his food and then he should stop

What is it with you people and the terrible ideas? What exactly do you think this would accomplish?

Buy him a bib and feed him... or bottle feed him. I think if you REALLY love someone even those "disgusting" quirks are cute...

talk to him about it. i dont know how. but if you love him and plan to spend your life with him, its better for him to know about it now instead of ten years down the line when the romance has fizzled and it just pisses you off.

Get used to it.. If you can only find one flaw you better be glad! Focus on what's important not petty little habits.

Ugh, when I was growing up, my family always ate like pigs, they still do now, god love em.
Like breathing air though their mouths and chowing down at the same time, or eating something too hot and choking and spluttering, talking with their mouths full.

Its horrible. So yeah it's normal.

yeah, getting over it may be the best course of action in deed. If this is not a core value issue (issues that are the most important to you), then yeah, definitely try to accept it and focus on the things about him that you love.

    best of luck to you!

You will get use to it. My fiance does alot of crap that makes my blood boil but that's part of being Ina relationship. Tell him the truth but don't expect change right away or at all. If you love him you will get over it...in time. :-)

Ask him to stop it. If it's something like chewing with his mouth open, it's pritty easy to change.

Punch him in the mouth everytime he eats that way. He will learn

For her safety in not provoking him to attack out of self defense, I would strongly advise against this.
