Boy meets world sequel?!

People who didn't grow up in the 90's may not remember this show but I'm pretty sure most people who did grow up in the 90's remember it, Boy Meets World. It was my favorite show when I was younger, and I just heard that they may be making a Boy Meet's World sequel called Girl Meet's World with Cory and Topanga's daughter as the main charater, they are in talks to get the people who played Cory and Topanga on the orginal show.
I have mixed feelings about this at first I was ecstatic! Then I found out Disney is going to be doing it and Disney has been horrible for a while now and I really don't want them to ruin one of my favorite childhood shows. But then I was also thinking maybe they're trying to turn things around, I know I'm stretching it but I really want to believe they won't screw this up. As long as they don't recast Cory and Topanga I will watch and keep an open mind about it.
So my question is are you happy about a Boy Meets World sequel and will you watch?

    I won't get my hopes up. Disney WILL most definately BUTCHER IT!!!! I bet they will have a laugh track every 5 seconds to dumb jokes that aren't even funny.

    I wouldn't watch it religiously, but I'd give it a chance. Degrassi had a million seasons with actors from 20 years ago and it only started getting horrible near the end... but Nick handled that and they're a completely different company from Disney. Also, it was more of a drama... point is, it can be done right.

    Nah! Love, love...LOVE "Boy Meets World" but I think that show is going to suck. You can't bring it back. "Boy Meets World" is gone now, and we should be happy that they left us with wonderful re-runs.

    I personally am kind of annoyed that they are considering doing this. For one, I hate Disney Channel with a passion, and I just know they are going to screw it up. For two, it's not going to be the same as it was last. For two, although "Boy Meets World" was a perfectly innocent show, it wasn't deliberatly made for kids, so they were still capable of having an adult drama and humor in it, where as Disney Channel will definatly tween it up. And then, for three, "Boy Meets World" is not something that you can recreate. It's just not! I'm sure they will have different writers and that alone tells me it won't be halfway as good as the original. I'm actually kind of pissed that they are considering doing this, and I hope they decide not too.

    If you really love "Boy Meets World" they've been showing re-runs on MTV2, and I often find myself watching them. It never gets old to me, so I can watch the same ones over and over again and still get a laugh.

    I have mixed feelings. I'm not sure if I like it. I LOVED Boy Meets World. I don't think you can recreate it. The characters. Eric! Remember when he got fat? Haha. The episode where him and topanga went on a secret diet and everyone thought she was pregnant. Haha.
