I have seen so many prick BMW drivers on the road. They speed in and out of other cars making them slow down, they cut people off, and they honk their horns to get other cars out of their way. Do people who buy BMW's believe they are buying a license to be an asshole? Is it normal that I think this?
I used to think that until I got a bmw :)
I've come to realize that it's just a stereotype. If you actually pay attention there's asshole drivers in every type of car. You're just more likely to notice the ones in bmw's because you already have that mind set about them. Plus they're fun to go fast in, so why not? I don't drive like an asshole most of the time because I'm paranoid about other drivers who don't know how to react when they see a fast car coming up behind them, but sorry if you're going 55 in a 65 uh yeah, I'm gonna get agitated and speed around you. And that has nothing to do with the type of car I'm driving, it's just my patience level.
I normally don't like to generalize, but I have to say that I'm pretty sure being a douchebag is a prerequisite to buying a BMW. I know there are exceptions but 90% of the BMW' I encounter on the road are being driven in a very douchebaggy manner.
I wouldn't say 90%. And it also depends on the type of BMW.. if it's a nice NEW bmw of course only rich assholes are going to buy those, so obviously it will be prevalent in their driving that they are a dbag. But even still I think that is too general, because the same can be said for ANY type of nice new fast car.
The best thing on earth is boxing in one of those rich BMW jerkoffs on the highway. When I see you doing 75 in a 55 while cutting people off behind me, I love taking my cheap ass, lower class, twin cam Saturn and just matching the speed of the cars near me so you swerve in and out of lanes trying to get around the "slow" people who drive like they intend to reach their destination alive. If you want to risk your life, play Russian Roulette with yourself so you at least don't endanger people in the world around you you spoiled rich trust fund babies.
Mostly a stereotype... I have friends who drive BMWs and they are good drives (Except for the one with the M3).
People say the same thing for Mercedes drivers. That's rubbish too. I know people who drive Mercedes (I drive one too) and we don't drive like idiots (most of us...)
Its not only BMWs. There plenty of cars being driven by a plethora of idiots. I think the "above-thee attitude comes from driving nice cars. If I had one, I certainly wouldnt be driving like an ass. I know many with no insurance crap cars that will let u hit them n YOUR the one screwed. Bye bye nice car, hello lawsuit. Doesnt matter if I didnt have insurance. Your the one driving crazy. I get a $300 ticket. So what? Im getting a new car from your insurance company!! Whoo hoo! Maybe Ill be able to afford that BMW now!

Nah BMW is not the car of choice for me either. For the money u spend on one u can buy a real car.
BMW is overrated. The sports range is not too bad though. At times.. But they do lack originality. As far as the ppl that buy en I guess u can say they lack self respect.
My favorite car is an old Land Rover Commando my father gave me that's at my house on a little island. Right hand drive and devilishly chic.
The gearbox on the Maserati is always breaking and never feels right. Hence the Prius. Likely soon to get rid of both and buy something new.
I drive my parents BMW whenever I can, but I have road rage when I'm in my Subaru as well. Maybe you just notice the bmw drivers more.
Even though I drive one if another cuts me off that's the first thing I swear about "Bloody Beemer prick, f you!"
My boyfriend has a BMW. He drives fast in it and gets mad whenever people drive slow infront if him or cut him off. He is an asshole at times, but only when he's pissed. It's normal to think that, but but not every BMW driver is like that.
i love it when people drive like that around me , i rive a 10,000 lb diesel excursion. banks diesel power shows them idoits whos the king of the road. let them get beside you then hammer down and leave them in a huge cloud of black smoke. hahaha choke on my smoke
Oh be nice my dad has one and he's worked hard for te money that paid for it. The car in general has a crapload of power so it's not not to go too fast

You could not pay me enough to drive one of those things. I shit you not, i would rather drive a pos than a BMW. It is fun to piss of BMW drivers though, when they think they own the road and are zipping around you then you haul ass around them and slow down. Im an ass lol.

Rust like a bitch? I've owned nothing but BMW's (and one Cadillac) and none of the BMW's have rusted....and I live in Chicago.

Idk, my dad has a bmw, but he's a bad driver because he's from europe, not because of the car. He did the same thing in our jetta and like any other car he drives.
Most of the people I notice in Bimmers are driving slow in the left lane.

Had an M5 but I couldn't figure out the whole iDrive thing. Then I got a a Qattroporte S, which I visit from time to time at it's home in the dealer's service department.
