Blushing...

I am unable to speak to members of the opposite sex, new people in general, or just when called on in class without getting super nervous. I blush wildly and my heart feels like it's going to pop out of my chest. As if this weren't enough, sometimes my lip starts twitching, my hands shake, or I tense up so much that I tremble uncontrollably. Oh, and I get out of breath. And sometimes I sweat a little. Normal?

    to sonyking100: yes it really does. I have to stop and take deep breaths because I find that I forget to keep breathing and I hold my breath. For example, I have an interview tomorrow for a prospective college and I am SUPER nervous about it and I have been having lots of trouble breathing today, even when I wasn't thinking about it.

    to wzxcv: I hate meeting new people even though I really want to meet new people. I recently went to a party (quite a stretch for me) and I was nervous before I even got there. Wow I just realized what a fucking loser I am.

    to caseyfrrst22007: I really don't think this is just shyness. In fact, I think I'm depressed and that I have social anxiety disorder, especially considering that I take a Vicodin once in a while just to relax.

    I wasn't that bad but I remember this girl who made me so nerves in High School I would forgot how to talk when I spoke to her. XD lol I'd being talking and be making no sense. So I'd just shut my mouth and smile. :-) We ended up dating for awhile.

    try picturing a cool blue liquid pouring over your face when you are blushing, breath out long and slow and remember who you are, meaning dont let yourself think that you are less worthy because you have these overhwhelming feelings. you are just sensitive, which is a beautful quality in people, especially in this day and age. dont worry, you'll grow out of it though, in the long run :)

    If you tried to hide from new people
    that is not healthy
    Try spent more time talk to your dad and mom
    if your parent were not that friendly
    try to join some motivation camp
    soon you will be fine ^_^

  • Well, you sure are the shy one. But that is pretty normal. With practice and life experience you'll have more confidence. So try to be brave and gain that experience. That is the only way I know to overcome stage fright.

    yeah i go to school! so you don't like talking to most people cause your afraid they will think your a loser or weird i'm the i think i think your normal no one really care's about so stop worrying

    ur juss a little shy but u should practice with your family like tellin them a joke while everyone is listening to your or telling your friends a story and having friends of the opposite sex and dont worry about wat people think juss pretend like your gonna make them listen to wat you have to say and like your the head honcho lol make it a game dont worry about what people think cause mostly like they got tons of problems of there own going on and there probobly not paying attention... juss talk slow take deep breaths and dont panic cause when u start getting panicy people will defenitly catch on its okay
