Bleed from gums when flossing?

Whenever I floss there is a certain area between 2 teeth(gums) that the floss gets stuck between the teeth & when I get the floss out my gums start bleeding. It only bleeds for like 30 seconds but it is starting to annoy & worry me.

Very normal. Seems you have sensitive gums. Check with your dentist.

Sounds like your guns need to get used to you flossing. But it is something I would bring up to my dentist.

It could be one of a few things,

    1. you have seinsitive teeth/gums
    2. you do not brush/floss often enough
    3. when you are forcing the floss through the tight gap in your teeth you're hitting the gums too hard and breaking them.

    A dentist will help.

It usually means you need to do it more. It isn't that your gums aren't used to it, they might just be too sensitive. It isn't normally anything to worry about, but you should speak to your dentist just in case.

It's nothing to do with your gums needing to "get used to" you flossing!

    There are several possible reasons:
    - You floss too hard or incorrectly
    - Gingivitis (as Juj said) which is a very common gum inflammation usually caused by plaque
    - Another Periodontal disease
    - It could be a symptom of a non-dental, more serious disease

The first 2 are the most common. Next time you go to a dentist, ask about gingivitis and also ask about the correct way to floss and brush, just in case.

Sometimes bleeding gums are a sign of too much stress.

Yeah it's called gingivitis, you probably either don't brush enough or flush enough.

Yes, your gums need to get used to you flossing, but check with your dentist just in case.
