Blackouts?

Ok...so I'm a student in college and, of course, there have been a few classes in which I have had to give a presentation in front of the class. I have an extreme fear of public speaking (sometimes I think I may have social anxiety disorder in general =/) so when it's my turn to present I get short of breath, begin shaking, my mouth dries out...the works.

A few times though, I have gotten up in front of the class and started speaking and then all of a sudden people are clapping and I'm walking back to my seat! I sit down and glance at the clock so I know I was up there for the correct amount of time, but I have no idea what I said or did...it's like a mini blackout which I'm sure is caused by the anxiety. I have to concentrate super hard just for the presentations to come back in bits and pieces later on.

I'm sure this isn't normal...ha. But I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Is it normal?

It's certainly unusual, but not un-heard of!

I'm a presentations trainer and several of my clients have had the same issues. They're some of my best clients, too, so don't worry about it - so long as the presentations are good enough!

I would rather kill myself rather then speak in public in front of heaps of people. Very normal

I will tell you, even a seasoned presenter like myself is ALWAYS nervous when going up to speak. It is always there. Of course you learn how irrational your fears are, but you still have them. I have done public and group speaking dozens of times, but nothing really prepares you for that natural nervousness. And yes, I too will get up to the podium and go through the motions then somehow end up back to my seat touching my clothes wildly wondering what the hell just happened.

i have only been with white women since college
when i was 18 and never regret ed my decision
and as time and the years passed i saw the pain
and frustration my Indian friends had with their
Indian wives and patted myself on my back for not
being in their position and many took white women
lovers that i helped and fixed up many of my Indian friends and they never regret ed their decisions.
white women are very sweet smelling, clean and the contrast of our bodies together is heavenly.
If a white woman likes you, my Indian male friends
remember that her will do anything for you and i promise you she will please you to the very hilt and
that you never regret being with a white woman.

There's some huge statistic... like millions of people in the US alone have a sincere phobia of public speaking. So you're not alone.
