Black people using race as a free pass

This is probably the single biggest pet peeve in my LIFE: Black people playing the race card any time something doesn't go their way, and the last person who was involved in the matter with them was white.
It's NOT about your race. It's about a POLICY that applies to EVERYONE. Why do you think it was written by a white person to discriminate against you? Slavery hasn't been around for 150 years, no one is out to get you. There are actually laws that put WHITE PEOPLE out of jobs so YOU can be employed.
And you know what? THEY'RE the ones who bring race up... not the white people. THEY made it about racism... imo, that perpetuates racism more than anything they think white people are doing.
For that matter, why is it ok for black people to be racist towards whites? That's my second biggest pet peeve.
It seems like if anything doesn't go their way, they can play the race card, and what's more, official agencies will agree with them, soley on the basis of race (huh, isn't that also racism?), without considering the facts of what actually happened.

is it normal to be so pissed over this? I feel like I'm the only one who notices this. I was never raised to be racist. Hell, for the longest time I had no idea why they were called "black" people, they weren't black, and I didn't see why it mattered anyway. But from what I've experienced... it seems they're the ones perpetuating the racism they claim to hate so much.
I don't get it. It's so frustrating... especially when it's going on at work, and I feel I have no recourse because no one's going to take a white person seriously if they say they're being discriminated against by a black person, or are a target of harassment based on race.

I'm "biracial" and this really pisses me too.
To me everyone one is equal, but there are some people that just LOVE TO PULL THE FUCKING RACE CARD ALL THE TIME!!!! I don't understand why people call them "black" or "White" to label a whole diversely ethnic group is pure stupidity.

I've been in cars with "black" people and they've loved to rag on the fact that I'm part Caucasian. They've had flip outs over the "White" race saying that they're evil and that you have to watch your back around them. It's insane! Not everyone is a racist and nor do they have those tendencies! I'm yet to see People of other ethnicities do this!

A few years ago, some kids were playing pool and they were angry at this boy at their school because he was "White". I don't know the whole situation, but It was obvious that it was jealousy. They acted like they wanted to kick his ass, because he was "White". If that's not racist, than I don't know what is.

Not every "black" person is like this. I've met many lovely people of African descent that didn't pull this bullshit.

I worked at customer service in a drug store and we always had line problems. The aisle is split into two so people always got confused on which side to stand even when we put signs everywhere. Every once in a while people would get into fights about who was first and us employees would get yelled at b/c of it.

So one day I called the next guy up to the window (He was white) and all of a sudden this lady (black) started yelling that she was next and he cut (She was on the wrong side). He ignored her and I didn't really know what to do I had a line and he just wanted a lottery ticket so I thought I'd get him and her out of there as fast as possible. So she comes up after and says, "Why'd you let him go?!" She then started talking to herself about how I was racist and all this other stuff which really pissed me off but I couldn't say anything back to her. At least have the balls to look me in the face and bitch. It was like she thought she should go first b/c she was black.

That's what keeps people like her where they are. They don't try to be better or use their privileges they just complain about something that never even happened to them and think they'll be handed it.

Everyone has their problems. I now live in a predominately senior retired white area and they seem to be stuck up and impatient. I hate everyone >< jk.

In high school I went to a school which was 50% black 40% Hispanic 1% white and the rest other. In history class there was this black kid that used to bitch about white people all the time. I am a light skinned native American (father right off the res). One day when he was bitching about white people I turned to him and said "look they enslaved your ancestors, they tried to while mine out, shut the hell up. You don't here me complaining about nearly whiling natives out, frankly I'm glad the white people conquered my ancestors, indoor heating and air beats the hell out of a teepee."

Wow, and I thought I was alone. I feel race should be a complete non-issue, especially in employment. I thought it was really stupid when a friend of mine was passed over for the job and they hired illiterate woman just because she was black! She didn't even have to take the tests that all potential employees are supposed to take, due to affirmative action.

I don't care what race you are, if you cant do the job, then I shouldn't have to hire you!

I have noticed this to. It drives me crazy and I think you are right. Especially when you ask an african american if they could pick something up that you dropped or for the slightest bit of help, and you get the answer "I'm not your slave". It is aggrivating. The past is the past and it doesn't even affect them now. Also, its not like we were alive during the days of slavery. I am not a racist myself, but I feel that people should just own up to things that they have done and accept things that don't end up going their way, especially if there is almost no chance that it can be changed, this is regardless of what race you are. I don't know why it is so hard for any person in the world to be respectful, show so common courtesy, or just lend a helping hand out of kindness. That won't happen though, only with a very small percentage of people in the world anyways.

Legion...I totally agree with you. I only see race when someone throws out the word.
Unfortunately, however - I have seen it played on tv during trials...I will not mention.
I really get upset when Hispanics pull the race card on me. It is typically Hispanics for me. I have to say,
"God Bless" the Hispanics who watch and judge me through my character not my race.

I dont see black or white, yellow, red, or purple, I see only one color, Green!

but seriously, I don't see it until you bring race up. and even then, i don't care unless you try to use race as an excuse or act like you cant be racist .

Saying racist jokes are ok with me, just as long as you aren't malicious or about only one race.

They always have and always will. It not our fault they are black or brown its not our fault they cannot forgive & forget, I'm sick of the subject they are mentally scared and use it to best effect. We lay down & allow it. If the love the hero so much bring back segregation. Ether way just get on with life we only notice colour because they always remind us.

I never noticed Muslims until 9/11 now they are in your face every day and get off on telling you they will bomb you. I've even been told this by Muslim school kids.

We are not superior we are just white and that's not raisist !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Der

We all notice it you know. I'm black and can confirm that this victim mentality is far from going anywhere. It's incredibly insulting to us normal blacks who get lumped in with them.
