Black guy working at german restaurant

I ate at Bavaria Haus the other day with friends. There was a big black guy in lederhosen serving us. I couldn't help but admire the irony there, in Nazi Germany not too long ago blacks were sent to the camps to be exterminated, yet here he is now serving us with a happy smile on his face, getting paid by the German restaurant.

Is it normal ??

    In Germany everyone who does not have blue eyes and blonde hair is considered Black.

    Totally normal, there are lots of blacks in Germany, especially half black half German.

          I just find it weird how history works. 70 years ago the Germans sent blacks (and gays, Jews, political dissidents, etc) to death camps. Today a black can be a full normal citizen, speak German, get paid by German companies..,

          Funny how quickly things change
