I have a pure black Auntie and she is very light-skinned but her eyes look Eastern Asian. Both her parents are pure black but I haven't seen them so don't know which of them carries the Eastern Asian origins. Her 5 children have inherited her eyes but they look dark because of their dad. My Auntie did mention once that she has distant Asian. I really do believe that 100% but maybe it's because she has 1 eyelid

    East Asians don't have a monopoly on the would-be "Asian" eyes. There are also groups of ethnic Africans and Europeans who have eyes like that.

    But yes she is probably mixed if she is American, most "black" Americans are to some degree. Perhaps some Native American ancestry?

    Lots of African Americans are of mixed race, even if they claim not to be. No big deal.

        Nope, but my man says that he has some African American and Native American ancestry even though he's actually a freckled, blue-eyed, strawberry blond. He wants to do some genetic testing and genealogy research.

        I don't know if you're trolling when you say "half-spook", but the thing is I'm in a a damn good mood today so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. My long, tall Texan took me ring shopping today after we left the Macy's sale. We didn't find the right thing, but it's fun, and what's makes it even more fun is it's always his idea. My day has been going swimmingly since we left the house so basically I'm hoping for the best for everyone I meet today.

        Normally I'm very bitchy this time of the month, but things have been really good today... go figure.
