i truly believe bigamy should be legal. i think making bigamy legal would lessen the divorce rate. me personally, i would only get married if i were allowed to have at least 3 wives because i would get bored being with the same woman "until death to do us part". that's why i guess i'll never be getting married because i would most likely cheat anyway, so no point in wasting my time and the woman's time. who agrees?

    I have no problem with monogamy rules because my religion neither allows adultery nor allows polygamy. However, exchange of spouse is allowed when all four are willing.

    I totally agree that if the ppl involved want it they should be able to do it. I don't ever want to get married but if others do I think they should be allowed.

      I don't think it should be legal, just because I think it would make things complicated.
      But then again I don't marriage should be a legal concept anyways.

      Let marriage be between the people who want it, and their religion if they have one, leave the government out of it.

        Wishing away marriage isn't going to happen so as long as its a thing I think any one in any combination should be able to do it.

          It's about as likely as multi partner marriage being made legal.

          Both scenarios are likely to never happen at least not in our life times.

            The question wasn't how likely it is to happen.

            I personallt think marriage should be a private arrangement with government involvement I think what is currently called marriage should be a civil union and any structure that is agreeable to the parties involved should be allowed like forming a corporation.

      Not in most western countries, but apparently it's been used as punishment for bestiality in some jurisdictions.

      Just keep your goat-love on the quiet for now, otherwise your nanny-spouse may have to wait until you get out of prison.

    Hey, anyone should be able to marry anyone, and they should then be able to marry anyone, etc etc.

    Marriage is a wonderful institution, and it should be the right of any man or woman, in any combination or group, to go live in an institution if they want.

      the legal implications though, in the event of death or divorce who gets what and how, it's already complicated this will just make it worse.

      I think marrige shouldn't be a legal institution, it should be something between people and their religion if they have one. Keep government out of it.

        Easy solution - make everyone fill out pre-nuptial agreements covering all this. The lawyers will love it - as the more fucked up and complicated your particular "Marriage" is, the more they will make getting the particulars sorted out.
