I used to drink at least a quart of vodka a day,(the cheap shit),sometimes a little beer to go along with it.I remember drinking up to 3 cases of maddog20/20 a week (hence my screenname).I had to stop drinking that shit altogether in mass quantities due to the fact I started getting a bad allergie reaction due to thesulfite content of it,hence Then I switched to all vodka basically.Thses days, no more alcohol for me due to health problems, although sometimes I wish I could drink occasionally.

Gin and Tonic is - when mixed correctly and not with some shit house vodka or something - the one true drink. It's sophisticated, doesn't taste like gasoline like every other drink, and ia easy to make. Delicious!

Captain Morgan! I used to drink Bacardi but last year when I was at my folk's house one night I tried it and I discovered I have a little captain inside me. Also I like beer especially Shiner Bock! Damn I miss Texas; I haven't been there since 2000. :'(

Black sambuca is wonderful stuff! It's like cough syrup but with alcohol. I love it. Can't say absinthe loves me, though. It made my mind weird.

Lol the Green Fairy doesn't have quite that effect on me. I just like the thrill of it and in fact the taste as well.
I'm guessing you wouldn't like white Sambuca, though, since that's similar to Ouzo in its aniseed flavour. Interesting, I thought people who like liquorice usually enjoy anise type flavours, too.

I like anise. But in Pernod and Ouzo, it just tastes about fifty times too strong to me. Like it needs diluting. And when you do dilute it, it still tastes the same. I can cope with white sambuca but I think my taste buds must be sensitive to this flavour or something. The strength of anise in fivespice is about the perfect level for me. If they made an alcoholic drink based on fivespice, I'd go for that.

That could be interesting. A while ago I went to a food & drink festival and there was a stall that had unusual liquors with spices like Szechuan pepper. They also took orders for bespoke liquors for a reasonable price. They probably could have made this as well. Maybe next time...

That sounds fantastic. There's a bar chain here that specialises in weird flavoured vodkas, like cucumber, pepper, and chocolate, but it's all very commercial. I like the idea that you have a festival where you live.

It'd be quicker to list what I don't like: Ouzo, Pernod, Tequila, Campari. Everything else is good by me. Although, my favourites: Drambuie, Cointreau, sparkling white wine, cocktails, and more beers than you can shake a stick at.

I've tried it. I've tried everything, to be honest. The government should make me an alcohol mandarin (I've had mandarin-flavoured alcohol). Tequila is just not nice to me. I appreciate the mescal like I appreciate the craziness of absinthe. But I don't like either.
