Is it normal for your best friends mom to totally ignore you and make you feel like she hates you? I don't think I ever did anything to make her feel that way, but she just acts that way whenever she sees me! What do I do?
My friends mom was doing this as well . I got a weird vibe from her when previously she was nice and loved me apparently . I noticed this was because I didn't come around as often ( weird and controlling ) she doesn't work and tends full time to the house on welfare as well as help from others .. I suppose being alone all the time may cause this behaviour in wanting or needed those to be around . I just don't feel why she would involve her emotions like that into her sons friends .. just because he is upset they are not around all the time now you are ? It was weird and needless to say I distanced myself from this family and it doesn't bother me to because it was getting really controlling and weird to have my friendship based on the time spent at your house .
I often got that treatment from my friends' moms when I was young. I was thought to be a 'bad influence' or a 'bad boy' by many a mom, including both my first wives' moms. I always thought this was strange as I've been employed and earning a grown man's wage since I was 14. I certainly wasn't a bum or apparent druggie or anything.
I think the only thing you can do is keep your head down and be extremely respectful, while you're at your friend's home.
