Best friend sleeps in my bed

My best friend (male) and I (also male) are really close.

I share everything with him, but I've started to realise my feelings may be more than just friendship.

I thought it was just me, except that at a recent sleepover he ignored the spare bed I set up for him, instead he hopped into bed with me.

We were both wearing just our boxers. This has happened about 3 times now. The second time we wrestled because he was hogging the blanket.

He's a really effeminate guy, but is adamant that he's straight.

My question: Is it normal for guys sleep together in boxer shorts

It's only weird when you wake up and find out you're wearing his boxers.

  • One day you'll both realise that your not actually attracted to females. That's fine.

It sounds like he's straight and likes having friends that are close enough to share human contact. Maybe you should move on. Just keep being friends and don't expect or force anything to happen. 2 guys should be able to be close without there being something else involved.

Sounds like he's bi-curious but in denial.

I just wanted to thank you people for the support and to let you know what happened:

He recently got a "girlfriend" which forced me to say something, because I suddenly felt really jealous and thought he should know.

I was scared that I would ruin the friendship because he says he's straight.

I told him I still have these feelings, but if I can't have him as a boyfriend I'd like to remain best friends.

Everyone I ask agrees with me that he is gay and can't admit it to himself yet. So as much as it's going to kill me, I will wait until he realises, or until I find someone better.

Me and my best friend do that all the time. We have slept together in clothes, boxers, or even naked. We are comfortable with our sexuality though and know we are both straight. If you think your situation with your friend may be turning into more, I would advise caution as it sounds like you have an amazing friendship and you don't want to jeopardize that. Just keep doing what you are doing and see where things go.

If you really think that you like him as more than a friend, keep having sleepovers, and each time push the limits just a bit further. Next time maybe pretend to be asleep and roll closer to him or jokingly spoon. You'd be surprised how quickly things will happen! Know when to back off though, and be quick to dismiss it a a joke if he gets too uncomfortable. This sounds absolutely crazy, but I've done this to my friend, and we ended up making out. Good luck!!

It's normal for straight guys to sleep in the same bed at a sleep over. Girls do it, but if your starting to get feelings for him then.. well it's still normal lol I would be careful though, your friend might not feel the same. Who knows? There's nothing wrong either way, human beings are just sexual creatures. And who could you bond better with than your bestfriend?

I think he might also have feelings for you too dude. Girl/boy best friends can get away with sleeping in the same bed because people assume that if they fuck, it was coming. Not all of them do obviously, but it's all about the intimacy. Lying half naked next to anyone and being comfortable about it is sexual.

It would be weird if you were straight, clearly you are not.Consider a couple of friends(straight couple of friends),would you think there is no sexual attraction if they slept in the same bed together? You are just confused by the fact you are both men and you believe subconsciously it is wrong for two men to be together and also you do not want to jeopardize your friendship which is stopping you from telling him how you feel but he probably likes you too, go for it man!!!
