It was confirmed by WB that Ben Affleck will play Batman in the currently untitled Superman & Batman movie, that is said to come out in 2015. What's your opinion on that?

He was a good actor then he went completely shit but I think he has managed to overcome that recently and has made some good films. He fucked daredevil up though.
I had no idea about this. I was just fine without knowing but with this information I hereby conclude that I think he's gonna suck it. Either way, I don't give a shit about batman or superman and I have no interest in the movie whatsoever. Lucky for me I'll forget all about this little incident before I even leave the page.
He already fucked up one superhero movie when he was a blind guy and that movie sucked. Besides, Batman's dark scarry voice is going to sound retarded with a boston accent. Its gotta be the worst one. Even worse than those pig fuckers in Appalachia.

I think Ben Affleck will be as good or better.
I only liked Batman for the 1992-95 'Batman: The Animated Series', that was a great little chunk of my childhood.
But no other adaptation to screen has worked for me, and the recent Nolan trilogy was an overhyped, overblown, over-expensive, superficial mess (Ledger as The Joker being the diamond in the rough).
In other words, I don't give a fuck who plays Batman.
I don't agree with actors getting into conservation work. They should leave it to conservationists. How would they like it if they were in a romcom and they had to play a romantic lead opposite Scarborough Bat Sanctuary?

Maybe, he will do well. Or, maybe he won't. Its hard to know. At this point, I can't really remember what he looks like and the visual I am getting is quite possibly another person and I am just getting the two mixed up.
If they're going to cast Ben Affleck as Batman, why don't they cast James Holmes as the joker.

1st: Ben Affleck doesn't have the appropiate profile for this kind of role. He is better suited for other kinds of films. He already had a role as a comic superhero, and while I don't think that he actually sucked that much, he just wasn't good enough.

I've always had a soft spot for Ben Affleck, so heck yeah, I'm excited to see the movie!
I won't judge until I've seen the film - if I even see the film. I'm not very familiar with Ben Affleck.
I agree with a lot of the other points people have made here, though. The superhero genre, especially Batman with the Dark Knight films, has taken a few changes I don't especially enjoy, like going all "oh look, isn't he dark and moody and mysterious" (for the record, I do think they do those things very well but I don't necessarily think it was the right direction). I also think there's a saturation of films in the genre and not very much risk-taking or ingenuity.
Honestly, I like Affleck, or rather I don't think badly about him. I have faith that he'll be a good batman.
Ah yeah, my mam mentioned this. She thinks he's going to make a great Batman but I don't think I'm going to like him as Batman. I'm not convinced. Plus, wasn't he Daredevil? He's hogging all the superheroes man!
Either way, I'm not really keen on what they're doing with superhero films these days. I especially dislike how dark and sinister they made Batman. What was the point?
