Being rendered utterly nonsensical from insomnia?

Whenever I have insomnia, I have the tendency of being left in a fit of utter hysteria the longer I am unable to go to bed and get some sleep! A few hours back, this morning, I had one such fit. I descended into a fit of sheer madness. I was talking monarchical, nonsensical, tidbits between spurts of laughter. I laughed so hard at some points that tears ran down my face and burned my eyes.

Absolutely stark naked and raving bananas. I wasn't naked but, I might as well have been. I still haven't been able to sleep yet, I somehow feel rather coherent as I write this. Is this normal?

That's weird, I get insomnia and handle it quite well. You are obviously retarded.

    • Usually, I handle it extraordinarily well. Usually… Clearly, those times are LONG GONE!

Just go get some over the counter sleeping pills. You're extremely annoying.

    • Annoying for having a medical issue? I can't have pharmaceuticals due to a health issue I have and my beliefs. I forgot that there are natural alternatives. If I had remembered, I probably wouldn't have written that.

Insomnia can seriously mess with the brain the longer it goes on. See a doctor about it.

    • Thank you. I have had bouts with it before. Very bad ones last year. I had been doing so well, though. I was sleeping easily for the most part. This problem, I think, started last week.
