Being in love with a video game character

I've been curious lately if it's normal to be in love with a video game character.

I'll already admit I don't have the chance to get out to much but one day when I saw a trailer for super street fighter 4.

And I saw a character by the name of Juri Han I like instantly fell in love with her.

She has a cute face a nice body and the whole 9 yards.

FanFiction,Deviant Art,and Rule 34 haven't really helped with this either.

Also to note I did have a girl break up with me a few months back so maybe I'm just replacing a void but I enjoy it alot.

Is it normal?

    ignore them, in this day and age it is normal. I am madly on love with Alis on Tekken 6 it makes me cry in real life knowing she isnt real

    Love is a word I see bandied around rather a lot these days with very little actual meaning attatched, is it 'normal' to be 'in love' with a fictional character? probably not, but then it may well just be a brief obsession, a sort of rebound from your breakup.

    Anyway, Juri's a bit evil aint she? attraction isn't so weird, afterall, who dosen't like a bad girl?
    But love is probably not on that lady's laundry list. :D

    i don't see any harm in it, as long as your obsession doesn't get in the way of your life, and you know this character doesn't exist.

    That's not weird, in fact, it happened to me. I played NDRV3 and instantly fell in love with Kokichi Oma.

    I have a crush on Boone from Fallout New Vegas haha. I will make him put on a tuxedo and then take out him gambling on the strip with me on a "date".

    In Skyrim, I also have a crush on the character Brynjolf but I cannot initiate dialogue with him or make him a follower D: he does not return my affection...so I settle with Vilkas instead, who is also a hottie.

    Anyways. It is normal to feel attraction towards video game characters, to me at least.

    nothing wrong with it at all. I love how U mention fan fiction lol I love that shit!!! anyway all these god damned video game characters look so delicious its hard not to be attracted especially the Japanese games , I mean look at all the final fantasy games <333333

    I sort of have a crush on a video game character but what makes it weird is that the said character is not human but in fact an animal.
    It's a bear in the game Animal Crossing. I've been playing it on my Nintendo DS for 3 years straight and one day a bear named Teddy moved into my town and when I met him I thought he was good looking for a bear and have had a little crush on him ever since. I guess you called class it under bestiality.
