Being ignorerd

At school, I feel like the outcast. I honestly feel ignored most of the time. I really can't take it anymore!
I open up to people, am very friendly and confident. I usually am the one to start a conversation, but people are SO unfriendly!! They prentend they didn't hear what I said or reply with a one word answer. I find it weird, and pretty saddening :[ Help!

it's sucks that you're being nice to people and they can't appreciate it.
i think it's admirable that you're confident and friendly, and you shouldn't lose that, but maybe don't concentrate solely on making friends at school. meet people outside your school and join clubs where you're unlikely to run into people you know, you'll probably make plenty of friends and also when you have a bad day at school you'll have something to look forward to.

I felt the same way my entire life. I am a nice girl & have gone out of my way to help others &to be nice to people so many times but I never understood why people did not appreciate or like me. It used to really bother me, especially with a certain clic of girls in school. They would whisper to each other about me as if I was not sitting right next to them & they would make fun of me. Sometimes they would even make rude comments while I was speaking in front of the class. Now I think they were just jealous because I am way smarter than them & got top scores in our class(which the teacher always announced & I wished she did not but oh well)I never boasted about myself or even talked about my good scores.Im not the kind of person who acts like a know it all either. I had to realize that not everyone in the world will like me & it was hard to accept.

  • High school groups, and well, in anyplace really - can be terribly cliquey & mean towards people. Even, or sometimes especially, to nice people. The power of groups to ostracise & shut out is irresistable to some, and is a form of bullying.

That could raise a question for you as to whether these are people/groups you want to know or be part of.

Keep looking further afield as others suggest.

Its like that everywhere. You just need to find something you like to do and go along with that and while doing that you might find people with the same interests who want to be your friends.
Some of the best friends I have are through Anime, manga, goth/emo clothing, and Band. You just need to do what you love and everything else will just fall in place.

    Ditch high school.

I didn't go to highschool. Look at me now, I'm totally fine, except for having just quit being a serious pothead. I have some great friends and a gf, but I'll probably soon end up on the streets, killing myself soon after that. I'm not joking though, I have NO regrets about not going to one of those retard-centres. I surely would've commited suicide long ago if I had been forced.

wow you first have to recognize that you dont need people to love yourself as long as you can recognize the people who really care about you!
    familt and well colse friends
i was always the ignored one and i never knew why i thought if people would only tell me then i can do what i can to change it but it wasnt me!
the people i was around did not care for me and it took a while to notice that!
maybe you should look into the hearts of the people around you and then you will see who they really are!
try to find better people to understand you!

Well maybe my answer was a little extreme. My point was I have felt the same way I have be outgoing to people and it wasn%%u2019t always returned and there are times I didn%%u2019t even try because I would get the one word answer thing. My point is it won%%u2019t t always be that way people aren%%u2019t always like that. When I want to college things got better for me. So what I trying to say is things will get better for you and you will meet people who want to have real talks and even start it with you.

I felt the same way in high school. I still get the one word answer thing sometimes. Answer GET YOUR GED. It worked for me. I got my GED went to community collage for two years and just got into a 4 year university. Plus going to a two year school cheaper. People in collage are more grow up in a way and there is less drama. They seem nicer to me but it depends. There isn%%u2019t lunch so if you want to make friends that way you can't but its better because you don't have to deal with sitting with people. Anyways getting my GED was one of the best thing I ever did. In collage you can meet people through clubs and stuff. There isn't all this pressure either. But that%%u2019s only if you can't deal with high school any more, it%%u2019s not for everyone. it%%u2019s just an option. Also there is also night or evening school. Again leaving high school and getting your GED isn%%u2019t not for everyone , its depends on what will make you happy. and getting out of high school getting my GED and then starting collage a year and a half early made me happy. btw I felt like an outcast in high school. people would have conversions while I was right there like I wasn%%u2019t there, what I am trying to say is it happens. It won%%u2019t always though. You%%u2019re not alone in feeling this way.

Just find people willing to listen.

Unless your school has only like 50 people in it, there has to be someone there willing to listen.
