    My mother has filled in the forms from the university and taken the copies to her doctor, in order to donate her body to science - if they will have her.

    This will save us the cost of a funeral and maybe the scientists can find a cure for being a hateful spiteful rotten bitch!

    I actually think that it should be compulsory and those who wish to 'opt out' so tell their doctors - instead of the other way round. This would reduce the waiting lists.

    I will donate everything inside. If I can't use it anymore, why be selfish & not give it to someone who can?

    The reason I say "everything inside" only is because I know my family would want to have a funeral.

    I wish you could choose who got your organs. I'd like to think a yourger person or a blind person (etc) got my organs, someone who ould truly benefit and have a much better life that otherwise they'd have no control over.... but some asshole that doesn't deserve it should'nt get it. Like a drunkard who needs a liver.....fuck that. So I have some issues about organ donation.

      This! This is my EXACT reasoning for being hesitant about donating my body after I die. This very reason. And then for the few people who I've told this too, they act as if I'm some sort of monster for wanting to be choose-y about who gets my organs.

      I always thought of it like this: There is a possibility that some murderer could get a second chance at life because of my organs and then they go off and kill someone. I know, the chances aren't that likely, but there are A LOT of crazies out there and there is no telling what would happen.

    No, not even when I'm dead.

    Maybe, I would if I was alive, but I'd have to really care about the person.

    When I was younger, I told my friend that if he couldn't find a match for his bone marrow, that I would've love to become a donor for him. The way people carried on when they found out! I wish our conversation had been in private! I don't think I could go through something like that again...

    Not before I die since I hate hospitals and stuff. Though once I am dead, I will donate anything and everything. If I didn't I would just end up cremated and that's a waste since organs could be used to help others.

    I'd give any of my working organs to someone in need by becoming a organ donor, considering the fact i am a habitual marijuana smoker i might get cancer so well just see how that plays out, then my body shall be cremated and have someone dump my ashes in my homeland, Colombia.

    I'd only give my organs to the elderly, just to piss off people who think that teh childrenz are the only people who matter. Well, that, and I love elderly people! But I'm not at all healthy, so it would be a waste. Hey, if I get a diseased organ, I could donate that to a child lol.
