Bedbugs!!!!!!!

So, my neighbor 3 apartments down from mine just had an infestation of bedbugs. I know they're super hard to get rid of, and I'm completely paranoid that I will get them too. I've read online that they can crawl through electrical sockets and migrate all over a building.

I've researched all kinds if voodoo online tricks to prevent them, including putting dryer sheets under your mattress (I currently have about 200 stuffed under mine)?

Any tips to avoid bedbugs, IIN? Is if normal that I'm kinda scared to sleep at night?

    My mom had a bedbug scare last year, after visiting an aunt several times who had bedbugs and getting bitten. She drove herself crazy hiring exterminators, throwing out a lot of things and putting everything in plastic bags. I don't think she actually had them.
    Id advise make sure the land lord knows about the situation and has called exterminators and watch for signs like bites after you wake up. I think youre doing all you can so try not to get too worked up, after seeing my mom get seriously stressed out.

    Why don't you look into getting carnivorous plants? They have ways in luring their prey towards them. Just keep in mind, that they need to be regularly cared for and fed. http://waynesword.palomar.edu/carnivor.htm

    I have a couple of solutions:
    1) Hire an exterminator.
    and
    2) Get rid of the matresses and get new ones as well as new, clean sheats/bedspreads.

    Here's a tip:
    - Check beds before laying down on them.
