Beating the garbage man!!

We just got a new garbage man, and frankly, he SUCKS!! It's this rinky-dink operation consisting of a lone man and his pick-up truck and trailer.

This jackass leaves things behind....the old REAL garbage men never did as long as they could lift it. The old garbage men took my old couch, all I had to do was cut it into thirds so they could lift it and fit it in!!

I threw out this tiny TV a few weeks ago, and the motherfucker left it there. It's tiny!! It's a 12 inch screen!! I think he just left it because it's electronics and he doesn't ant to cut into his profits by paying the fee. But that's what he's paid to do!! If I go down the road on trash day, almost half of the customers have at least one item he decided not to take!!

So....my solution is, I'm going to break it up into smaller pieces and distribute it among a few different trash bags. I've done this sort of thing before with "hazardous materials" that the trash man refused to take like some construction materials, paint and some other things.

is it normal to hide shit in the trash so that the garbage man takes it without hassling you?

All our rubbish is put into the appropraite supplied bins and a truck comes along with a hydraulic lifter and empties them. Where is it you live where garbage is manually handled that hasnt been done like that here for 25 years at least

Fair play there is only one man but still if he isn't actually doing his job correctly and still taking home a pay check then you should get him sacked.

    DOO EET.

We burn all our burnable garbage. We toss steel cans and broken glass in the dumpsters in town. Aluminum cans and copper and steel is recycled for money.

Needless to say, we don't pay for garbage disposal. :3

Edit: Steel cans are different from other steel or metal components because you can't get enough money from steel cans to make it worth the effort and the drive. On the other hand, other scrap metal is totally worth it.

Gather some of your neighbours and protest. Write to the "human waste department" and complain. Not to force you or anything, but maybe try recycling? The guys that get my stuff don't pull this kind of bullshit.

Trash is such a generic term. I have four bins for waste removal. And none of them are apropriate for electronic waste. People really need to learn how to manage their own waste better.

(I'm quite obsessed with titles this morning...)

By reading your title, I can only imagine you ganging up with a few friends or something and ambushing the garbage man when he comes around. That will show him to do a sub-par garbage pick-up job!

Yep, lol, I just re-read the title and I still imagined the same thing. It was still funny to me :)

I imagined that or that the guy was trying to get his trash outside before the garbage man could get thier to say " HA I WIN " which was even stranger seeming never the less it did seem strange . BTW you should check some my polls and leave a comment ^^

I totally did leave a comment on at least one of your stories! (Albeit, not a completely serious comment)

I suppose I might comment on a few more though, just because you asked.

By the way, I like your profile picture, it must have been difficult drawing that with the paint program!

no auctully I auctully am a really good artist my drawings are very realistic and I can draw incredibly well, I paint but its abstract adn I have no knolledge of how to paint so they are pretty and colerful but those piantings are still ametuer . so once I got use to the program and useing the controls on the computer it auctully is relitivley easy I got use to it so I adapted and so now its just as simple as if I was drawing it with a pen , no it isnt hard at all however I can not get some of the effects I want with the texture becuase I need photo shop . I might get that soon but thankyou . I always like being apprecieted for my artwork . Also I made a new hug poll lol thier isnt alot of comments on that .

Normal I guess? But I think that, for the sake of ecological purposes (and I am not a huge environment but I feel that if you can do it you should), you should really consider appropriately disposing of your electronics and hazardous materials and I am sure that you can get information concerning hazmat disposal from the utility store that you bought it from.

I can't remember the last time that I saw someone manually hand in garbage though, which country do you live in?

I'd say it's normal. If someone isn't taking out your trash then it's great that you're making it easier for him.

Oh well that is fucked up. I take off my own trash and recycling, so I don't have this problem.
