Bands make great music on drugs

Bands make great interesting and experimental music when on drugs. I am not pro drug use but I cant help but to think this. Ive gotten told I listen to "hippie music" and "music one gets high too" and that its ironic for someone who does no drugs ever and never has. I dont see how though, you need to be high to appreciate psychedelic sounds?! Make the music itself gives you enough of a high at least I can in a sense trip out to it because my mind is weird.

Depends on what kind of drugs you use. LSD by far leads to the best music, the shit they used in the 60s and 70s.

There is a many century (in fact thousands of year) history about a temporary creative effect of certain drugs...

The key word is temporary. Routine long term use is destructive.

Buried in books from the mid 1600's to mid 1800's in Europe and other cultures around the world are instructions for preparing and using drugs to enhance creative and cognitive abilities - and the caution to only do it occasionally or for short periods (have the ability to really control it - or it will control you).

My mother listens to a lot of reggae and she has never even tried weed, in any form.

I think it's just one of those stereotypes that you get. It's probably the same for really quiet/shy people who listen to aggressive hip hop.

Smoke a lot of weed though and then go listen. It's better than you think. Weird shit starts to make sense that you didn't even know you didn't understand yet.
