Bad break outs was it anesthesia???

I have been struggling with a bad back injury for two years now, I had a surgery last year 2009, october, then one more this year 2010, on september 21, now this is not my first time receiving anesthesia but for some reason, I had anesthia two weeks before my surgery and then again on my surgery date and mr reaction since then has been crazy and it now october 28 2010, my skin broke out badly, my back, legs, face, chest, belly and arms, at first, I was just itching for almost two weeks I itched so hard, I started to become score from itching and then my skin just broke out and it's been a month now and I am uncomfortable with my skin now, I have no idea why and I told my surgeon and he informed me to see my regular doctor, but I think I need to see an dermatologist, and ever since the surgery, I have not been eating, I lost 30 since my surgery... I also told my surgeon that and he just said ill get over it. But I am at such discomfort with the reaction of my skin and with my surgeon saying to see my doctor, what is it that could happened?
