    Unfortunately, to the USA, we are way too insignificant to create any news stories over there. I assume the only time we do make the news in the US is for something bad and never anything good :(

      I honestly can't recall ever seeing Australia in the news here. Probably because your not at war with everybody and their brother. Hell we don't even see Canada on the news here and the are right on top of us!

      I know every single time Kim Kardashians stupid ass stubs a toe, or makes another sex tape. Hell her last sex tape is still in the news because apparently her mother told her to make it for publicity! (why in the fuck do I need to know that?)

      By God we know EVERY DAMN THING that is going on in the middle east though. Every time a middle eastern farts it makes headlines!

    I don't rember ever seeing or hearing any news out of Australia. I've seen some Australian football, but it seem we mostly see British stuff -- there's lots of that.

    No, not here in NY at least.
    I wish the news would focus on things other than Israel, petty politics, and celebrity shit... But no one I know really gives a shit about the rest of the world... :(

    I'm an Aussie in the States...on the Eastern side and no, there's hardly any news about Australia...some sports are on pay T.V. and one time there was some news about the bush fires in Sydney...I wish there was more news from home.

      No. Canadians get mad at the same thing. They report so much on us but we do little on them. Here is why. the US has a huge amt of news that most states never even hear about other crimes unless they are big or things like natural disasters, etc. We then focus on national news more than some nations do and intl news ie our wars, and soliders. If we printed others world news there would never be enough time for the few bits of news we do hear. There are thousands of local tv stations, newspapers. newletters, sports teams that they never make the state or national news in the US either. It is just impossible. That said, people do find intl news sites and many people I know do read foreign news. If they have a connection that nation.
