I consider myself pretty open-minded and know that beauty is only skin deep; but come on! Why would someone really attractive even consider dating someone who's just "Uggh!" looking and are their complete opposite. I see this all the time and it confuses and astounds me.

I don't care how funny, nice or rich you might be... if you look like Shrek's evil twin then I'm not interested. is it normal to think like this?

    I didn't know there was a rule that attractive people must ONLY date other attractive people. Not everyone is as shallow as you. You should not consider yourself "open-minded" at all because your fascist attitude towards physical appearance is very close-minded.

      Hey, I dated attractive ladies, average ladies and "plain" ladies of different races, shapes and sizes who all shared something in common besides my interest in them. They all had intelligence, humor, great attitude and were fun to be with. And I'd rather be with someone who is average and has a great attitude, than be with a stunningly gorgeous person with a nasty attitude.

      But all in all, I'd rather be considered "shallow" than "desperate" any day. LOL

    Yeah...open minded is not the correct term. Shallow is what you were going for. And I'm fairly certain your opinion doesn't matter in their relationship. They probably think their other us attractive even if you don't. No one cares what YOU think in the matter. So stop being judgmental.

    I'm hawt, and I date fugly chicks all the time. LOL! No just kidding, actually the reverse is true, I'm not particularly easy on the eyes and my lady is a beauty... so clearly, I'm glad not everyone thinks the way you do.

    She loves me for my mind. <3

    Chicks who have a good personality and are nice, usually are more attractive to me than a girl who is hot or a slut, i mean no matter how hot you are, or how much money you waste on your appearance, you're still a whore and thats the most unattractive thing in the world.

    I think ugly guys are hot! ~^_^~ They are sweeter, less likely to cheat, smarter in most cases, and HILARIOUS! :D I Don't care about looks, And i never pay attention to the hot guys, It's the Guy that could make me laugh, and have an intellegent conversation That makes me like them. -If you met my ex, you'd believe me lmao

    If you suddenly became blind, would it still matter? You would have to go by other input to make a decision then. This would be akin to having a delicious looking cake only to find it's made of sawdust and holds no nutritional value whatsoever.

    Anyway, is it normal? On first glance, I think we all make this kind of preliminary decision about a prospective mate, but again, what good is that mate going to be if they're full of sawdust?
