At home in new york?
I feel very uncomfortable while riding the buses and trains in Chicago. I was born and raised in chicago, but i can never fell at home here. I feel like everyone is staring at me. But when i visited New York last year, i felt totally at home. Everyone was more like me, minding their own business and avoiding friendly small talk. There where also a lot less crazys and bums running around. Its like i can get away with being eccentric without getting a beatdown, because new yorkers have seen it all, while Chicagoans haven't. I know that chicago is very divided, but is it racism or just nosiness. I feel unsettled around all Chicagoans.
