As a guy, is it ever okay to hit a woman back if she's hitting you?

If a woman were to punch a guy, and she started it, is it okay for the man to hit back?

I'm a guy, and I think it's okay if she started it 19

I agree mostly but hitting back if they hit you is fine, especially if they hit hard enough they could cause serious injury. You always have the right to defend yourself. But of course if someone hits you playfully not using a lot of force, then you dont hit with full force back. I think you should hit at the same "level" as them

Yeah I think it's ok, I still wouldn't do it though purely because the law is unfortunately sexist and doesn't think it's ok.

U can always hit BACK but u can hit FIRST if its ur own personal female like a girlfriend or wife and shes way out of line. In fact if u love her u will so u can make sure she develops proper character and etiquette and that she isnt disobedient in the future

But u have 2 use ur common sense. U dont have 2 strait rock there shit. Ur just disciplining them. Its probably best 2 stick 2 ur fists but if u do wanna use a rod make sure its no thicker then ur thumb. This is where the sayin rule of thumb comes from

U can also use other weapons but again u have 2 use common sense. Dont beat ur woman with a weapon thats goin 2 do more damage then a rod thicker then ur thumb. Be honest with urself. Dont cheat and beat ur female with somethin u know damn well is worse then a rod as thick as ur thumb and think its ok just cuz it aint a rod. If u do that ur a bad guy and she deserves a better owner

Personly I beat my wife threw a phonebook when I have 2. I rlly hate havin 2 but obviously it has 2 be done sometimes. I do this so it dont leave bruises and stuff cuz I find that gross on a woman. I never go overboard and I stop as soon as shes felt enough 2 have a good cry. Then I sit down with her 2 explain why she was wrong. This is important. U beat ur wife 2 teach her, u dont 2 be mean. If u dont sit down with ur female when shes cryin 2 teach her and help her grow and tell her u still love her and aint gonna get rid of her then there aint no point in beatin her in the first place cuz she aint gonna learn shit. Its the gentlemanly thing 2 do

EDIT: I forgot to say that if u have kids and they R confused its important to make sure they know momma did somethin bad and that its just like when u beat them and not 4 fun

If she started it, a little smack or push would be okay as long as you’re not beating her up.

    No one should hit anyone.
It's typical men to always bring up this scenario, ya'll just wanna smack people we get it.
That said men are far stronger than women and typically a woman will hardly do any damage to a man unless she's really strong or is using an object but still, no one should hit the other.

Yeah, it’s better just to walk away, because if you hit her back, she’ll probably call the cops and say you hit her first, and they’ll believe her.

Never okay! Wrap her up if you have to protect yourself, but really, be a man and just leave. You shouldn't ever be that physically threatened by a woman...

Nock that bitch on her ass. If someone attacks you teach them why they just fucked up. Do not be excessive first. Try to draw as much attention to you as possible before striking back. The more people who witness her attacking you first the better. Reposition to be in a cameras view first if possible. Gotta protect yourself legally man. But yea if anyone attacks you you are legally allowed to defend yourself ay least in the u.s I obvy don't know about other countries. Do yea teach the bitch a lesson

Hey with the equality movement being stronger than ever, I think it is fair to knock her into the dark ages, if she started it.

Yes, I believe there is scenarios where a man could smack a woman. I dont believe in beating a woman down like shes a man but if she gets out of line a good smack will usually do.

  • Morally yes but societally no because we hold men to a higher standard of not hitting back than we do women hitting in the first place.

I dont know why this was thumbed down so much. No one should hit anyone, but if someone throws the first punch, man or woman, they deserve to be hit back if trying to diffuse the situation with words doesn't work. Being a woman is no excuse to be an asshole and not except the repercussions.

Im not saying wife beaters are ok, but you get what you give if you're a violent female

      • DirtyBirdy? Not seen that username in a long time. How you doing?

I'll be honest it's to be expected at this point but I don't take it personally. Between people being shadowbanned, fake accounts, and people just too butthurt over prior conversations I've learned to just completely dismiss any value from the thumbs feature, I don't even use it myself now.

To be fair, the exact same sentiment are also the most thumbed up comments so it's obvious it's moreso a personal jab at me than my comment. I wouldn't be me without rustling some feathers. ;)

Yes sir, the one and only dirtybirdy. I wasn't on here for a long time, now I just peep in here and there. Its good to see some old names, its definitely not the same as it was back in the day.

I thumb up certain comments but don't have the thumb down option since I came back. Thats ok though, I almost never used it anyway. I still remember that one picture you had 🤣🤣🤣. Good to see ya, hope you're doing well

          • Aye, I took quite a long break from the site too. I'd always come and check the posts but rarely ever comment other than here and there but now I'm sucked back in. Nah, it's definitely not the same site. Shadowbanning is rife now. Some users can't use the thumb down feature and if that's happened you there's a strong chance your posts are shadowbanned. Try to make a new post then log out of your account to see if you can see it. I never use the thumb feature anymore either, they've made it useless.

That *one* picture? You fool! My vanity pictures were many! Haha. You'd be surprised to see what I'm like now. Traded in the pretty boy look for a more rugged look, well attempted to anyway. Yeah, good seeing you too. I get quite nostalgic when I see the older users. Weird thinking about how long we've spent on this site. Haha.

i am not one to strike a woman or lady, yet if I am being beat upon it is my right to defend myself. and if a woman starts hitting is really a lady.

defending yourself is one thing, but hitting back makes you no better than the person who hit you.. grow up and walk away from such a person

Why do all the options have it where she has 2 start it? Where is "im a male and its fine"?

In theory it's fine, but in practice there's almost always a better solution.

Hitting back with the reasonable force required to defend and protect yourself is ok regardless of gender. But using excessive force just because you have the strength is not ok, again regardless of gender.

Sick messed up people that think it is ever okay to hit a woman? Go back to Saudi Arabia with your twisted values. Smh.
