As a child my neck would lock up

Today my sister was complaining about her neck and then I remembered when I was a small child whenever i would look up by bending my neck back it would get stuck, if i tried to move it back it would hurt more, so to get it back to normal i would have to force myself to get it back. It doesnt happen anymore but i guess what i am asking is-What the fuck was wrong with my neck? Is it normal?

    Of course it's normal.
    When you're a child, your bones are made of stone. Yes, stone.
    But as the time passes by, your body converts it into real bones.
