As a bf, would you rather drive your gf or have her drive you?

Hi, this is something Ive been thinking about for a while and now even more because I started dating someone. I'm 19 with a driver's license however, Im still not used to the freeway, I still kind of get nervous. My guy is usually the one to drive us around but what is bothering me more and more is that he lives like 45 minutes away from me so well go to his house from mine then he has to go and drop me off then go back home. This is usually around 3 in the morning so were tired, sleepy but he says he likes driving so he doesn't mind but I don't believe him completely and it doesn't stop me from feeling bad or annoyed. I really wish I can just go visit him myself but I'm not an experienced freeway driver yet. Also, if we were to just hang out around my place, I would drive him but I get nervous when someone else is in the car like if theyre judging me. Im paranoid and thats not a good quality to have while youre driving but I just don't trust myself completely yet when Im driving by myself (I know even worse). So I don't want to put other peoples' lives in danger but I feel like I have all the resources to be a successful, normal driver so I just have to suck it up but Im not sure how? I guess only time will tell. I am going out on the freeway to learn and my guy is a huge motivation, otherwise I would take it slower. I also have this job that requires driving long distances and Ill have my parents drive me but I feel like a little girl. So back to the main point I'm trying to make here is do guys mind if they have to drive their girl all the time? cause if you haven't noticed, a lot of girls are starting to drive the guy around, I see it most of the time now which adds to my frustration. My guy friend thinks it is kind of douchey if the guy is in the passenger seat but thats all I have as for opinions, I want to know more. I understand it is more traditional for the guy to be the driver but still, some like to flip it around.

I prefer driving my girl;I feel more masculine & its the right thing 27
I prefer my girl to drive me;its flipping it around plus its a turn on 4
Either way is fine, but if I have to drive her, I honestly don't mind 21
If she can't drive me, it might make an impact in our relationship 1

Hey why did my "Women can't Drive" post get deleted??

    More sexism!!!

If someone had said Men can't drive it would have stayed and gotten 100 positive replies and thumbs up.

This reverse sexism thing is sickening.

  • he might feel a bit douchey being in the passenger seat but its better than him sitting in the back, like he is royalty and u are the chauffuer, btw just go slow until you are confident

    • Okay :) I also haven't told him exactly where I stand in terms of driving and I want to so I can be honest but I'm scared he'll think I'm going to be a needy gf like a baby.

Watching an ex gf take a left through a red light .. lost faith in humanity. Don't date crazy drivers.

I prefer driving her. (I love driving) But I don't mind her driving me. I like that too. She has her own car, but no way she is driving my car.

A lot of people who start driving are nervous. I'm in the same boat, as I haven't been driving for very long. 'im Okay in trucks and some RWD cars, but considering i havent even hardly driven those, Driving a front wheel drive car is a lot different to me.
