Do you have the slightest idea how long it takes to do a single painting? How many years we have to put in training, with no pay, just so we can have the skills to be able to make money off of it.

Yes "fuck" the artist he/she shouldnt get paid for what they do just like the person in an I.T department shouldnt get paid for their work or how a teacher shouldnt get paid for educating the young. Basically long story short they deserve the money they get.

I kinda agree with you because making it free would mean that only people who are truly creative and artistic would choose to do art for a living, they don't care much for income because they just love what they're doing.
At the same time do you think they should just GIVE you what they've worked on for days/months?

In a way it is free though, you could easily get duplicates or posters of famous artworks for pretty cheap.

2) Even museums hire people to care for the locations... They too have to pay to live.

They deserve payment, because honestly you can't look around you without seeing some kind of art. Even the computer that you are starring at is design and the web pages you visit would be all black with green letters if it was not for an artist.

Some art is free. So is some music and some literature. But any person has the right to sell their time and skill for money. It's how most people who have a regular job get paid.

I like how Scott R. Kelly explained how art should be distributed. He said that art should be free and once someone is done enjoying a work of art he should pay the artist accordingly to what he/she believed the work was worth. But we all know that's an ideal and impossible concept.

Since I would like to be an Artist I Strongly Disagreed. If anyone wants free art then they should use their artistic abilities to make art themselves.

Much of it is free to look at, it just costs to own. Why shouldn't you have to pay for an item, any item? If you don't want to pay for art, don't buy any. Make your own artists rendering of the piece if you like it but don't want to pay for it. If you can't, then that right there tells you the value of the artist.
