I'm all for legal immigration, this country was founded by immigrants. The problem is that the illegal immigrants cause so many problems for everyone else, they ruin the economy, cost tax payees billions of dollars every year, and send money back to Mexico making America a poorer nation. Illegal immigrants should all be sent back and after they rake a few English classes and try to become a legal citizen they can come back, immigration needs to be regulated to keep control of crime and to control costs

With this bad economy that we are in right now, it would make a lot of sense for the government to hire several hundred people to be border police. Most of the problem is there at the border. After these people cross over our borders, they are almost for sure not going to be sent back by the government.

I think that all of America should have that law.

Everyone should agree with it!!!!! WTF go to any other country. If your illegal you have no right to be here. Police have the right to ask for proof from anyone!!!!!! And if you disagree pay more taxes for these illegals. Right a check to the government , they'll take it.

Thank you for your email. I struggled to decide if I should start this post because I knew what would have been posted. The silent majority will not be silent anymore. I have a friend who has a friend who is native American. He and his father applaud the Arizona law. His father fought in WWIi and was proud to do it. He wanted the U.S. safe. And still wants it safe. Obviously the haters of this law (that mimicks the fed law but won't enforce) do not live in Arizona. Arizona is the first stop to others. I may be called intolerant But we are tolerating this country away for votes.

I think that our borders need to be closed. Anyone here illegaly stays and becomes a citizen. It should be harder to become a citizen and you should have to speak English to be here. I'm getting sick if having to push one for English. Every race is rasist in some way, but white peolpe are the ones you here about most. Whites don't have white pride days or white history months. I support arizonas law. I think more states should do something similar.

I live in Arizona and this has affected too many things to even mention. Only if one knows how it is here and what has already become from this, can anyone truly understand the nature of this political decision. I don't comment much on these sensitive issues, but only wanting to bring attention to the simple statement, "you'll never know, until you've lived it". I've never seen people in such an uproar since I've moved here in '96, I'm 27 yrs old and seen my fair share of shit happen, but some people have got to get their heads out of their asses and handle this topic appropriately.

I agree with the above and mastersash. But dont be hating on Asian Americans. Alot of us came here after our countries were invaded by the trigger-happy American government after they decided to try and institute peace on our lands. Or they murdered thousands with their nuclear testing and the likes. For some AA's they were simply shipped here from their foreign country as a "favor" from the us government. Imagine being sent to a foreign land with nothing more than the clothes on your back and no knowledge of the language. Ten yrs later you get a job, have a family and life is good. But some ignorant white men telling you youre not good enough to be here. Well guess what-- your government sent alot of us here. Youre pissed at the wrong people. Be pissed at your government.

Mastersash has managed to attach facts to opinion which together make most of u look like idiots. It cracks me up when people beef on mexicans bcuz they are here taking jobs. I don't see any white people in line for those jobs. Furthermore, if that's what pisses u off, then your pissed off at the wrong people. The Asians are the ones taking up all the civil service jobs, government jobs and hospital jobs. All the meanwhile bringing all of their senior citizen relatives here to live the rest of their days here at our expense. I'm 5th generation Mex-American, with 2 more generations behind me. My family has been here since the 1800's. What we are, are true americans. We work hard and obey the laws of this country. That still doesn't give me the right to decide who belongs here and who doesn't. Just follow the rules and be a good productive citizen. This country belongs to all people willing to follow the constitution

Arizona sucks!

Why do some of the commentors mention white racist people?? Racism is in all races. Even within the same race. I don't care. You are here illegally and infringing on my rights. Come here legally. This country has bent over backwards for illegals. The politicians only want their votes. As far as I'm concerened they have thumbed their noses to the American citizens.

Send them home with there children and let's us enjoy to fruits of our own labor.

If a white person is suspected of anything in Mexico, they make you show your passport. If your not there legally you are put in prison. They racial profile white people... why not show them the same respect?

Back in the day there was Ellis Island. People had to go through a process to be allowed into this country. Screened for diseases and other things. My neighbor works for immagration. She's been trying to get her sister here, LEGALLY. I'm all for immigration, just legally. Arizona has a real problem with the violence that the Feds don't care. They can't follow their own laws and the American citizens are in peril. What are everyday people supposed to do? My soap box is so full but I'm tired of the crap that what we have to tolerate. American citizens do not have a voice anymore.

IMO, people who come over illegally are a slap in the face to the people who go through years of HELL trying to come to this country legally to be a legit citizen. I wont get on my soapbox either because my story is a 5 year journey through multiple countries just trying to gain lawful citizenship.

75 percent of Americans agree with AZ governers desicion....I'm first generation guatemalan and complety agree with this decision... I could get on my political soapbox but won't bore you..lol....

More jobs brings in money. People can't hold onto their money because that hurts the economy more. We need more jobs so that those people can buy things and circulate the money. So, yes, hiring a bunch of people to stand around and protect from non-tax-payers is a VERY good thing. And btw, God doesn't exist.

um, you are all immigrants and i can tell you right now, no one on the fucking mayflower had a green card to come here. you don't deserve to be one this land anymore then any other immigrant. and when the white people came they wiped out an entire race, killing and raping the indigenous people until there were barely any left.

you just think because your white and "american" you're entitled to some sense of superiority. well people are people, no matter what color they are or where they come from.
if you have a problem sharing the wealth of our nation, sharing the rights to education and freedom we all get to enjoy, then you dont really know what it means to be an american.
