What I meant by my first comment was that Thanksgiving is a total lie..."white" people took advantage of the native americans...it's kind of like saying Chris Columbus was a "good" guy, when in fact he did the same shit! Americans pick and chose their history and spoon feed it to naive students

Yes, true for the american thanksgiving. However the celebration it self goes back far before Columbus ever sailed the seas. When times were good and the harvest was great, the church would call for a day of thanks. People would go to church to give thanks, then they would have a great feast. The pilgrims brought this tradition with them and now everyone thinks that it only began at Plymouth rock.

      Christmans is a lie too.
Why can't people just celebrate the goodness in life without jackass' like you shitting all over them? Sure, Thanksgiving is a "lie", but that doesn't mean people can't be grateful for what they have!
I live in Ireland and I'd LOVE to celebrate Thanksgiving, more so than Xmas.

Yes, I'll be quite busy raping native american women, killing thier spouses, and wrapping their babies in small pox infected blankets. When I'm finished, I will steal their land.

    HALLOWEEN comes first!!!! :)

Truthfully, I don't even like Thanksgiving much. (No offense to those of you that do though.) At my house, all we do to celebrate is eat. Like every celebration has to have food. We don't even go around the table anymore to say what we're thankful for.

And there's just the four of us this year. My aunt and cousin can't come home because they have to work. And we might not even make a turkey because I don't really like it. So, this year it'll be mostly like another day.

well last year no. we had the day off.

This year I don't know, new location new job. However it's not like I care... I've spent enough of them (and christmas too) away from home that I don't worry about stuff like that anymore.
