Are you prepared for the apocolypse?

i fucking can't wait for the apocalypse. This world is 90% shit.

Oh wow...with all these questions that you're asking me I feel like you have a lot of 'inside info' on this stuff lool. But then again as I think about it I realize how unprepared I am.

Well...I guess I'll try to pack nothing but food & water. Fuck clothes. The clothing that I'm already wearing is good enough...I'll dress up warm. I'll use household objects as weapons. I'll be on foot and I'll try to find good places to lay down in.

However, with that being said, this is something that I'd like to think that I'd do. Most likely I'll probably be hiding in my bathtub with my laptop and phone trying to call as many people as possible. I don't think I would try to fight something like that.

All you need are guns, ammo, a kitana sword and a big stick with a nail in it in case all else fails and boom, the streets are yours. And whiskey. Cant go looting without whiskey.

If the apocalypse happened, i know i wouldnt survive long. So i would kill as many people as possible. Lol i would loot stores and steal from the weak.

I have alot of friends that own guns, we would start a gang and cause as much damage as possible. We would probably move from the hood to the suburbs, that way we dont have to deal with the gangs already in chicago. It would be easier to take out the rich people and steal all their shit.

Most gangs would stay and fight for their territory, while my people will take over the rich, set up our base camp and stock up on ammo. Then wait for any intruders to enter our territory. We will torture and kill until we are all murdered.

Actually you're wrong. Many civilization simply moved on and modernized. There was never a definitive time that Rome "ended," it simply moved on. We can look back at it because it's been hundreds and hundreds of years since.

I'm not at all prepared for such an event. We do have stores of food in the basement but thats it. No guns and no gear. We will die.

Use what I got from looting that gun store to stick up people that had more shit than me and loot a military supply store

after that I'd either make a non-stop break for Canada (i'd consider re-enforcing all the glass and venerable spots on the RV, if there were time)

go to a cave we used to hunt near and I don't think anyone else knows of it. It's conveniently located next to a stream

I'm going to become one of those anime characters who are able to run nonstop, jump over tall buildings, become unnaturally strong, and slaughter countless amounts of ppl.

I know a good amount about survival in the wilderness, and me & my friends are a good mix. I'm a remarkable American Baseball player, mostly for pitching and hitting. Close combat/suppression. One of my friends has a few guns, and knows how to use them. Firearms specialist. Another is funny, and pretty balanced between everything. Morality boost. That's just three of us, and there's more people too. Just me and these two friends, when working together, would have food finding/trapping skills, human/predator suppression skills, plenty of people to carry supplies, and a good amount of logic and methodical thinking. Also, we have plenty of nonperishable food. To top it off, I'm the kind of person who's taller than average, but not the strongest; my advantage over a lot of people, though, is that I'm damn-near impossible to take down, and it's almost impossible to get me to panic, let alone feel scared. I'm calm and cool, and I've learned one of the best survival skills out there, which is one of the only things you'd need to know to survive: Don't do anything stupid. The only way I could see that I would die is if I gave my life to save someone else, or if the city I'm about an hour away from by car was nuked. This seems semi-unlikely, though, because by the time that happens, my neighborhood would have probably set out to the middle of a very unpopulated area. Also, if you live in, or get to, an island or chain of islands, you'll be pretty much safe forever, and away from the chaos in the rest of the world.

Honestly not really, but I've read enough post-apocalyptic and dystopia novels that perhaps my subconscious would know exactly what to do!

I'm not prepared at all. I'm too comfortable in my safe little world. If I survived, I'd call it lucky or blessed. I don't think I could do it on my own, though. If it ever did come down to that, I hope I'd have someone to help me.

But let's talk guns for a moment. I like to keep things simple:

- .22 automatic pistol: Extremely light and compact weapon and ammo. Can do anything with the right skills. Fewest moving parts of any repeating weapon; complete bag of spare parts fits in a sock and costs $20.

- 12GA shotgun. Ammo available everywhere, and very versatile. Hard to screw up.

- .357MAG revolver, 6" barrel. Fits comfortably on one's hip, but can take deer out to 70 yards or so. Not too harsh on small game, especially with hard cast bullets or FMJ's. Can chamber .38SPECIAL ammo, which is everywhere, and, if you have basic reloading gear, can use bullets pulled from 9mm and .380 ammo, as well as 000 buckshot balls. Ammo is very lightweight for a center fire; about the same as .223.

- Rifle in 30-30, 7.62X39, .308, etc. This would be a go-to weapon for both big-game hunting and defensive use. It is best for it to be in a common cartridge.

Me, if I had to go it on foot, I'd probably just take the .22 and the .357. Where I live, you don't often get shots at game much outside handgun distance.

Depends on the situation. If danger is litrally just a few minutes away then I would get a bag, fill it with about 3-4 of canned food, a pan to cook the food, some form of heat to start fires (lighters etc), a bottle or two of water, a knife to defend myself, and dark clothing for when I need to get supplies at night time.
Once I'm out of direct harms way, I will then look for a place to rest (because I would be at long traveling distance) for about three to four hours. After that I will continue to travel to find a place that is least effected and noticable that has resoursed for food and water. Obviously during my travels I will stop at many other places that aren't as safe so that I can rest to move forward.
I don't have anything big that would make me lose time because of the weight of carrying it.

I would probably end up stealing a boat to find am island that has no one else living on it or very few people living on it. Either that or I would live constantly on the move.

I'm not sure if what you mean by this is that everyone is against eachother, the law is picking off people one by one, etc.

Out of all the places that could experience "turmoil", the US would be at the bottom of my list.

I'd probably die. Let's say this stuff goes down and my house get's burned down in the process by crazy rioters, I doubt I'd get far with just my car, seeing as I've seen enough movies to see you can't just waltz up to the gas station and get gas in a crisis. I do however have weapons. Household items, golf clubs, guns, and ice picks. Do I know how to use them? Another story . . . I'd probably just try and keep as low of a profile as possible and look for food and water at night. But I'd probably go insane first so yeah :p
