Despite having friends and a normal family I feel desperately lonely. The type of loneliness that comes when everyone is too busy to notice you there suffering. There are a lot of stories about loneliness, so does everyone feel lonely?
What wouldn't I give for a hug right now! :(

Not really. I'm fairly self-sufficient and don't need much from other people. I'm happy in company but I enjoy my alone time. I think I have the balance right for me, although I'm perhaps more often alone than some people would like.

I have friends, but most of them I haven't seen in years. My relationship with my mostly dysfunctional family is strained.
I used to always miss my friends, but now I've realized that I prefer to be alone.
The feeling of me being upset at being a recluse/ alone is a bit rare. Some days I'm depressed and the thought passes through my mind, but for the most part, I don't mind. I like my privacy.

I'm never lonely, on the contrary what I'd really like is some time completely alone.
ha, yes I get lonely on the odd occasion-most of my friends are married or dating. I'm fine with my friends and family but just missing a great girlfriend.
I also can't date someone just to not be lonely-I have to really, really like the person. I'm also quite picky-but then when I do find a great girl, it's the best feeling ever.
Can't settle for mediocre when you've had phenomenal before.
I only have a few friends, but unfortunately I haven't spent time with them recently. They're they're the busy ones. I do feel lonely a lot, which doesn't help my struggle with depression.

I have this huge need to be in a relationship, and find myself feeling lonely at night if I don't have somebody to cuddle with. I had a great childhood with a loving supportive family so i'm not sure why this is!
I don't really feel lonely. I enjoy being by myself truthfully but at times I feel a little irritated and wish someone could ask me to go do something with them.
Like my roomies for an example, they are pretty much besties so they always go out and do things together. Whenever I go out I usually asked them to come along, normally it's a no too. But I try not to let that get to me, they both are good friends and I should of known that this was going to happen anyways. We still hangout of course, since we do "live" together. :)
I have my family and my other friends to talk to, plus people at school and now people at my internship.

I have been lonely all my life, no friend, family but even when i am with them i feel lonely, and depresed, but i keep fighting
If I had a car I'd move all my shit and live in the middle of the desert.
I deal with people at work, at school, at church and my husband is at home.
If anything, I just enjoy what little me-time I get.
