Are you jealous of the opposite sex?

To be honest, when I was fat, I used to be jealous of men because fat men could get girlfriends and fat girls couldn't even get a glance from a guy. I could recount so many incidences of this at school.

But let's take my uncle, who is and was fat, dated a really nice and pretty woman. Now, they're a happy married couple, with two daughters. So I really thought fat men received more love than fat girls.

I'm no longer the fat girl that I was, but I guess I still have that mindset deep in my mind: that men have it better than women when it comes to finding love. I mean, I've seen girls with ugly boyfriends, but never guys with ugly girlfriends. Maybe that's just me, but... sigh. I just feel like, as a girl, I need to keep myself all dolled-up and "prettified" 24/7, because that's what society demands: Girls need to be pretty.

I'm sorry if I appeared shallow. I just feel that way. Sorry. I do try to keep in mind that it's not which sex has the better life, it's what kind of person that has the better life.

I'm tired of being a bitch on her period. I mean I love being a girl, except all that other bullshit. I'd like to know once in awhile what it would be like to be a dude.

Who has it easier? I think it depends on the situation...as far as dating, I say its women. Most of my female friends are always complaining about which guy they should choose out of the one the are interested in them...Wow! I wish I had that problem, I have to work like a dog to get a woman to give me the time of day, let alone return a phone call. Maybe I'm just not a very good lady's man thought.

But when you factor in everything else, I guess its really hard to tell who has it tougher...I tend to focus on the dating part since I'm single at the moment. When it comes to careers I think men probably have it easier though...I could go on and on, but I don't think anyone would read that much.

I totally wish I was a guy sometimes, it seems they age better and look 10 years younger than women of the same age. Plus they can act silly and crazy and it's totally accepted. They also look great with grey hair. WOmen with grey hair just aren't sexy like that.

I am personally sick of the sex wars and don't understand them at all. People seem to have a need to say that they have suffered through more or overcome more. What is really dumb is when I am told that my life has been a breeze simply because I am a man. Last time I checked, nobody followed me around all my life rating how easy it was. The quality of someone's life is by an individual basis, and if judged by any other means (race, sex, height, just whatever) then you are just plain ignorant. Everyone is an individual, always has been that way and always will be. Hopefully people will start to understand that and not assume things about people and instead actually get to know them before judging.
