I don't usually write about him here; I know that people hate it.

I met him here. I was completely opposed to the idea of entering an internet relationship; I looked down on it, to be honest.

We basically just started talking to one another, randomly, not expecting a thing, and we were so much alike, and he made me laugh more than anyone I've ever met, and we shared so many personality traits. There are no words, because I'm quite a strange person and a misfit...

He's both cunty and sweet, a perfect combination; he's loyal and kind and patient and understanding.

He lives across the fucking planet. The distance kills me all the time. It's beyond difficult, but worth it; he makes me happier than anyone I've ever met.

We talk every day. We'll be together in 9 months...and then I'm tossing my shit and moving in with him....

I agree about the personality traits, I'm surprised that cunty isn't often used as a good personality trait when describing someone, but maybe that's just my Britishness showing haha

    Yes, yes I am.
With the gorgeous girl above as a matter of fact.

We met here. Talking about cunts actually...
Which is strangely fitting for the two of us.
We share a fucked up sense of humor & in too many ways to mention she's unlike any girl I've ever met or ever will meet.

We threw a few public comments back & forth on here until we'd started taking over some threads. I could tell straight away that out personality & sense of humour was similar & I was instantly intrigued.
Sent her a PM, we spoke a bit via that & then I got Skype so we could chat there.
We Skype texted a lot until she eventually convinced me to call so she could hear the accent.
I expected an awkward 5 minute call filled with uncomfortable silence. Suddenly 3 hours had passed...
Now, 3 hours is a short call!

We speak every day without fail.
I think 2 days in over 5 months we haven't spoken & on those days we've texted.

    16000kms apart :(

I miss her every day. The distance makes things so difficult at times. Not being able to touch is literally painful at times.
    BUT. She's worth it...

We have plans to be together.
    & start a life together.

    & that's my only advice.
Have a plan. A goal to work towards.
    We'd be lost without it....

    1. On IIN.

    2. I noticed him and thought he was funny. He sudddenly had a message on his profile saying he had left. I decided to send a PM saying I'd miss him. He wrote back and we started talking on and off. Mostly off. Then we started talking daily, progressed to Skype and kik and then met.

    3. No clue. Eastern Australia and Eastern USA. 16hr time difference ri ght now.

    4. a) Once for a month so far, aiming for 9 more weeks mid year.
    b) Daily.
c&d) as often as we can, though we'd both prefer more.

It's difficult. I think the larger the distance, the harder it is. But depending on your personalities and commitment to making it work, it'ls doable.

    Yes.

    1. That's very hard to say. I remember that She just entered life one day, but it's possible that we knew each other prior to what I'm remembering.

    2. There was always this special connection right from the start.

    3. I don't know the exact amount of miles. I live in Maryland on the East Coast of the US and she's from the UK.

    4. I haven't seen her in a very long time. The last time I saw her was late 2013.

It has been difficult at times. In a romantic relationship, there will be times when you want to physically be with this person but you can't. The wait for when you'll be able to see or hear from them again can be maddening but, it's worth it because, you love them so much.

    1. Where did you meet?
    Minecraft

    2. How did you two connect? Did you both get along from the start or did you hate each other at first?
She didn't have a place to live and I had some extra room, so we teamed up. Hung out almost everyday, fell in love, and doing other things online together.

    3. How many miles apart do you live from each other?
We live on opposite sides of the U.S. :/

    4. How often do you:
b)text each other and d) video chat. We broke up.... But still text, or Skype each other almost everyday as friends. We play games online still too, and sometimes even jump on Minecraft. ^-^

    1. She put up a questionnaire on a website and I decided to contact her.
    2. I sent her an email decribing myself and why I sent it. We seemed to instantly click and started going back and forth with the emails.
    3. I've no idea. She lives in Texas but I live in Northern Ireland. 7 hour time difference.
    4. We haven't met yet but that is on the agenda whenever it becomes a viable possibility. (I've no money).
I usually stay up all night when I talk to her. We use whatsapp and I estimate maybe several hundred thousand messages altogether. I'm too poor for a laptop or something to use skype on :)
Sidenote; we're not together anymore...it's complicated. But we're still good friends and it might come back, who knows.

For future references, you can video chat via Google Hangouts app. It's another messaging app, sends photos really fast too. I've never used WhatsApp so Idk if its any better or worse.

Nope, I was once. It definitely made me more appreciative for the time I got to share with that person.

Long distance isn't for everyone but if you love someone not even distance can separate you. You should take the chance.

Yes, dating long distance is difficult.

I have been in 2 LDRs

    Where did you meet?
Relationship 1. Through a friend at an outdoor festival in summer
Relationship 2. I was in a theatre performance. Straight after the show still dressed in my character's costume, I noticed her and approached her right away - I simply had to get her number.

    2. How did you two connect?
R 1. We met to play some music the day before she was leaving the country.
R 2. After meeting for a couple of drinks a few times we went on a 2 week camping trip together.

Did you both get along from the start or did you hate each other at first?
R 1. Couldn't stand her when I first met her.
    R 2. Instant connection.

R 1 One was 14000km away and the other was 16000km away.

I think LDRs are hard to sustain over long time periods or if there is no end in sight to the separation. Esp. if you don't actually see each other often enough.

It was fun, but long term I would not recommend it. But hey, whatever floats your long distance boat.
