Are you happy with/proud of your number?

After a discussion with my friends (both male and female) it seems that some people are proud of having sex with a number of partners, while others are not.

Personally, my number currently stands at 37. I feel like it is an achievement, and I'm always happy when the number goes up. Yet I felt uncomfortable discussing this with my friends, as they may think this is a high number. It does sounds like a lot, but it's only an average of 6 per year since I lost my virginity. I'm not even having regular sex, sometimes going up to 2 months without it.

Where do you stand? What's your number, and how do you feel about it? And what are your thoughts on my own number? Please comment and discuss!

    4. To me sex represents love or in this case lost chances.

    Never been interested in casual sex.

    Are you male or female? Not that it really matters which. I was curious how many people will conclude that you are male (or female) based on the number you gave.

    Six different partners per year is quite a lot, but it's also not scary-excessive. I've known people who went through a 'phase' when they were younger and had sex with numerous people for a year or two before settling down into monogamous relationships. It happens.

    I'm at 0.35/year and I'm happy with that number.

    A word of warning; never tell a girl you are in a relationship with, that kind of number or it will be used against you when you guys fight. Forever!

      Very true. If you have a high number it could also be intimidating to the woman. They may worry about how they stack up to the others, changing the outcome of the sexual performance. Btw, Im not the OP.
