Can't say I've ever been a woman so my answer is going to be biased. I would like to see the world from a girl's perspective though. At the moment I am happy that I am a guy. Or rather I like who I am.

I agree with Anime. I like being a man, and a man is who I am. Seeing life from a range of other perspectives would be cool, but I like this. I wouldn't change it.

If I was born a woman, I think I'd like being a woman too. Although it's possible I would be less content with my position in society, I'm pretty sure I'd like my identity nonetheless.

Let's not start with the feminist bullshit, ok?

Not sure in what sense what I said was irrelevant.

You said that you would be less content with your position in society if you were a woman. As if women were still oppressed.

Nope. I didn't say I would. I said it would be possible I might :P I'm not starting anything. In fact, I'm being deliberately non-committal. It seems to me that, rather than me trying to "start something", you're trying to drum up an argument out of nothing.

Again, I'm not sure why feminism is relevant. It's a post about gender. If you want to present to me evidence why I'm wrong, that's a different matter.

I'm perfectly happy as a male.

None of us have any real idea of what life would be like had we been born the opposite gender, apart from some general truths based upon biological differences. We don't know what our social standing would be, whether we'd be more or less happy.

All the answers to this question really reveal is our perception of the opposite gender, specifically how easy or hard we think they have it simply by being female or male, which says more about the respondent than the truth of the matter.

    I love being a woman.

Apart from when I'm on my period.

Or when my period doesn't start on time.

Or when guys think I can't do something because I'm a woman.

Or when I have to walk home alone at night.

Or when I have to shave and I'm lazy about it.

I occasionally feel like a tender schoolgirl named Tammy trapped under layers of rough calloused man skin and thick body hair.

    Yeah right.

  • I think there are more social (maybe even legal) benefits to being a woman than being a man, so I am not going to deny that there are some attractive qualities I would like to have from being female, however I am happy being male.

I think males have more history to them, more to them all in, and due to how everything changes we are starting to know less and less about guys. Most people would just like to assume men are just people that crave sex 24/7 with barely any interesting qualities, however that's just pure ignorance in my opinion.

But yeah, I would like the female benefits, however I would always pick being male. I just find men to be naturally more attractive (not sexually) when they aim to look good, have amazing strength, a powerful force, great humanity in them despite popular belief, and are just plain interesting (not saying women aren't, I just find guys more interesting, nor am I saying I haven't met women more interesting than guys).

So, yeah. Male all the way.

I am a woman there some ups and down like, makeup I hate wearing it, but society doesn't want to see flaws. Then there is the thing that mom's don't do a lot.

I would prefer to have been born a women as then I would be heterosexual and many of the problems of my life would not have been an issue.

My life would have sucked, had I been born a woman. Today, I might have a much better chance of living the life I love, as a woman, but 50 years ago, there were still quite a few doors open only to men.
