Why am I here? Haha :/
I've had serious sleep problems for about four years. It sucks because that was when I started college.
Yeah, I am an insomniac, my worst periods were in winter last year and lasted for 6 months. I'm much better now and all I can say is for people with long term insomnia, sleeping pills are definitely not the answer, even if it does give you a few hours of that elusive sleep.
I have had problems with sleep since 1997 when my dad died unexpectedly and in traumatic circumstances. Prior to that I could sleep 8+ hours no problem.
Nowadays I am grateful for a few hours without waking up. And thats when I can get to sleep in the first place.
I agree about the sleeping tablets, I only tend to use anything like that after a bad couple of weeks and I am barely functioning.
Yes, sometimes. It comes and goes. I have had insomnia practically my whole life. Sometimes my insomnia is triggered by stress going on in my life, other times it just comes back just because. Doesnt really affect me though, I'm so used to dealing with it.
have sex if that dosent work then ill search people having sex ont the net or search sex moves i love sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have insomnia most often on Sunday night. It sounds bad but I actually feel more energized after a night of no sleep. I just hardly ever feel sleepy at all on Sunday night and I'm perfectly fine on Mondays. In fact, Monday is a pretty good day for me. Tuesday, in my opinion, can kind of drag on bacause you've already been back for a day and then you have to wake up early and go another day. What more do they want from me!? ;D
Sometimes. In periods it's every day for months.. tends to be annoying, but I'm almost getting used to it.
Insomnia for more then 3 days straight, is a sign something is wrong with you. Most often it is a daytime stress, trying to come out at night, and you are not sleeping so it may. Before trying sleep aids including otc drugs, try other ideas. A warm bath prior bedtime, low light sometimes helps lull you to sleep, with soft background music. I know someone, who has to sleep even in the winter with his airconditioner on! He sleeps! I feel the comprimise to freezing in the winter and the annoying sound to others would be a box fan or anyother that maintains the room temperature and is considered white noise. Some people who do require that extreme of a sleep environment have what is known in the medical feild as Tinnitus. In all cases I would consult a Dr. Staying up for periods of more then 12 hours days in a row is a red flag that you may have bi-polar disorder in which case, lithium salt can surely cure it. Blood tests then are required and all of the new fangled drugs used for bi-polar people today are confusing to me since it is a definite, loss of litium in the blood that causes the disease. Good luck all of you night owls. My theory on my insomnia is that my biological mother carried me in Scotland, UK. Although she had me in the USA, they say that an infants brain clock center is set during pregnancy. Hope this helps someone, good luck to all.
I am, and unfortunately when you go to bed at late hours, (or have a lack of sleep, or stress- which insomniacs tend to have), it usually causes sleep walking... which is even worse.
