but no. I use to download pirated music, then my computer got stolen. I figure that's karma right there. My downloads are all legal now.

i don't consider copying youtube vids to be pirating.
it's up to youtube and the copy-write holder to block those vids.
Same. I go Spotify myself. It's legal because they get the revenue stream from adverts (unless you pay for the full bazinga in which case that becomes the revenue stream). yes, because i dont have enough oney to buy a movie that might be a piece of shit anyway. plus i dont wanna rent nymovies if im only gonna watch it 1 time. i do the same for music and other software EXCEPT PS3 games. i wanna get Gamefly for that
I buy used copies of original CDs, generally from thrift stores or the library. It's legal where I am.
Otherwise, I only listen to artists that give their songs out for free anyway. I love them dearly.
As for movies, I tend to rent or to the theatre.
The most serious I have ever done or even considered is You Tube vids. I have never downloaded films etc from anywhere else.
Now Johnny Depp is another matter ;)

If pirate means "Black Market" Shopping, then I am a total junkie. All of my Shemp Howard DVD's and Ted Healy and His Stooges are black market, pirate. I do not see anything wrong with it, when that is the only way you can get what you want at times.
For the movies I really want to see I just go to the cinema, I usually don't bother buying DVDs
Music- yeah I youtube convert sometimes, I don't want to spend a pound on a song on itunes and I don't want to buy the whole albulm just for 2/3 songs, I only buy the albulms of the bands I really like
I don't feel guilty about it at all. I mean theres hundreds of other suckers out their willing to pay. If I was legit all the music on my ipod would probably cost me 500$. Thats shit and for what? To listen to some music I could easily listen to on youtube for free so I don't understand honestly.
