It depends. When I used to make art I would sometimes find myself turning into a full blown perfectionist. Now, not so much.
I'm sure people know that no one is perfect and the question is more directing to those who try to be perfect. I suppose it would depend on the degree of perfect someone was going for. If one wanted their song on piano, artwork or something else to be perfect, I could understand then. No one wants to produce something that looks or sounds bad. But if someone literally had to be perfect about everything then that is a problem. I personally am not one but I do like to be the best I can be at fighting games and producing music.
I also have a friend who tries to be a perfectionist with her grades. She doesn't even like B's and its obvious that it is affecting her with a lot of stress and is making her push away friends. This kind of perfect I don't recommend for anyone. Her parent isn't even pushing for this, its all her. She has very good reasons for this due to where she lives but its not good for her.
A bit. Used to be a lot worse at it though. Getting better at going with the flow.
But I am still quite perfectionist when it comes to my art. I was walking through campus today with a painting I'd barely started worrying that people would look at it when it was still so raw and shitty looking. XD
