The old matter of "liberal or conservative" is a trap. Both so-called ideologies have their strengths as well as weaknesses.
I believe in doing what's right. Whether that makes me more "liberal" or "conservative" is of no concern to me.
I don't like either. I have my own political views rather than conform to a predesigned one.
A hybrid of all 3, I would have to say. Some of my views are extremely old fashioned, and in other ways I'm quite open minded. Allow me to elaborate. I feel uncomfortable around the loud and proud kind of gays, and believe they should put a lid on it. I believe in firearms and the ownership thereof. I'm an atheist, but I'm extremely against things like drugs, adultry, alcohal or any substance abuse, including cigarettes. However, I'm not one of those new agey vegan types. I love me some artery clogging double bacon cheese burgers and fries. I believe in trying to preserve our planets nature and wildlife, but not so much that I would for example, give up eating meat or something. I love animals, but I love eating them, too. I believe in spanking your kids when they're little shits. Back in the day kids had respect, when they still got smacked. I believe in marriage, and in commited relationships. Interracial marriage makes my skin crawl. I'm also rather tattooed so I don't believe in judging one by one's appearance, but people take one look at me and don't assume that I have all these old fashioned morals and values. Its kind of a 50/50 with me. Some old fashioned values suck, while others are rather quite nice.
I definitely have more left than right sympathies, but it seems to me that left and right both embrace hierarchy and authority. In the leftist vision this comes from government, in the rightist vision this comes from corporations and capital. Neither of those represent power to the people, and ultimately that makes neither acceptable to me.
The idea of a "moderate" doesn't resonate with me either, though. The word tastes like giving up. If you stay neutral you are *only* supporting the status quo - you can't be neutral on a moving train.
I'm an anarchist, and anarchy is one of many political positions which does not fall easily or logically anywhere on the left-right spectrum. I'm slightly more favourable to leftism though, so let's go with that :)
If I saw none I would have selected it, I hate both parties so I'm in the middle. Just a bunch of power hungry pigs running around the same ground year after year doing nothing other than making a bigger mess than the last guy.
I don't adhere to any political system. You should really state what exactly is meant by liberal , moderate, conservative etc. They are kind of wishy-washy labels, if you don't elaborate on them.
I base my political views on science so I'm a liberal leaning towards moderatism.
I'm liberal to conservative depending on what the issue is. Regardless, I support the decriminalizing of marijuana! LEGALIZE!
Libertarian and hate liberals. So called "liberals" especially far left today are nothing but neo-socialists(politically speaking) and most people who identify with liberalism are government puppets.
