I have a fantastic girl who deserves a great partner & although I'm not perfect, I think that most of the time I fit the bill pretty damn well, especially for her
My boyfriend and I haven't had one single argument in a one year and 8 month relationship so I must be doing something right.
I always try my best to treat people (whom I care for) the way I'd want to be treated so I'm always thoughtful, caring, attentive, etc. I cook for my boyfriend, whenever I have cash I purchase small things that he likes to let him know I'm thinking of him, I send him sweet messages when he's at work, I run his bath water and make his coffee in the mornings so I'd like to think I'm a good girlfriend.
Ofcourse, a lot of it has to do with it the fact that he's a pretty amazing boyfriend too, so naturally we get along great and it makes me want to be a nice girlfriend.
I had to choose "other" because although I definitely have NOT been a good partner, it was for a different reason. I always turn out to be the neglectful boyfriend. Things start out great but I tend to panic when things get too serious and I start to subconsciously become less attentive. I call less, I text less, I forget anniversaries. I guess it's a defense mechanism. I have some real maturing to do before I take another girl on that ride again.
I try to be but then I can sometimes be distant and cold or overbearing and over emotional or passive aggressive or morbidly depressed or a raging lunatic. It's a wonder that my relationships last long.
It's difficult for me to form close bonds with people so probably not a good one.
